10 straight missed games for Embiid (including today). We all understand he won't retire because he wants his bread, but why not make him a 6th man. Why does he have to continue being a star? That money is a sunk cost. Same with Paul George. Get your legs back against the reserves in limited minutes.

If the Grizz and Mavs get healthy, I really think the Warriors are going to miss the playoffs.

Joe Dumars/Gayle Benson/Adam Silver plan to get Pelicans to Vegas or Seattle.
Trade future top 3 pick to Hawks under the excuse that “we’re competing for the playoffs this season.”
Then they completely fail at competing and trade Jones/Murphy — literally the only bright spots this team has had in the last five years — just to get even worse. And of course, that ends up handing the number one pick to Atlanta.

Let me remind u, before the NBA Finals, the Pelicans had control of their own 2026 first-round pick, the Bucks’ 2026 first, and Indiana’s 2026 pick.
Right now? Pelicans sit at #1 on Tankathon, Pacers at #3, and the Bucks at #11 (and that’s only going to fall further once the Giannis trade hits).

So instead of tanking this year, flipping whatever good assets they had for more future value, and potentially ending up with two top-3/5 picks next year, the Pelicans managed to end up with:
– No picks
– No realistic path to competing for even the play-in for the next 5 years.

It’s a joke. Honestly, someone someone should be going to jail for this...

As a Pelicans fan outside the USA, I’m not that bothered — I’d probably be relieved if the team gets relocated. But for people in New Orleans, this has to be brutal.

Presti is doing great job, but man they lucked out on some things. This will save them quite a bit of money, maybe even allow to keep both Dort and Hartenstein beyond this season... I thought they will have to start using picks to replace some of the key guys that earn "bit more" but i guess not. Holmgren will also not get any award bcs of injuries.

If they get blue chip guys at the top of the lottery are they going to stand for sitting on the bench?

I don't see how this actually is going to work.
Rest in peace Kobe & Gianna

I still don't see them letting Hartenstein go. It is more likely that Dort and Isaiah Joe will get moved, Dieng's contract expires and their new draft picks slot into open roster slots. Since Cason Wallace is still cost controlled for another year after this (followed by RFA), there is no reason to move him until you see what Topic can do on this level.
