Forcing a lot of turnovers but also fouling a lot of probably at least somewhat related, the more aggressive you are the likelier you foul. But the first-shot efense being as good as it is... that's big. It means if they tighten up the OReb's they could be a very good defense.

Small sample size of course but not super surprising considering Simons has been decent on D..Queta has been solid, Minott and Hugo have been excellent..JB and d-white we know are good defenders, Pritchard and Hauser are both solid on D..Tillman is healthy now and has been solid on D and even Garza hasn't been *that* bad on D.

Offensively we have been pretty hot and cold..at times looking very good but often times looking pretty disjointed (like a team with lots of new guys and its best player out) , our shooting has been hit or miss, the ball movement hasn't been good at times.

But yeah, the defense overall has been good. The guys have been playing hard on that end and for the most part have been in the right spots..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

I think that once the G League Season gets Started, that we should bring up the Two-Ways as needed.
Also, we should send down Hugo, Baylor and Walsh. Let them get more Reps.

Simona should be starting if we're trying to win games. Pritchard is an extremely valuable rotation player who can bring a ton to the game. But he's not a starter in the NBA. At least not on a winning team.

But at the same time, I don't think that we should be breaking out backs to win games this year.

This team as presently constructed is not bad enough to tank. They’re an average team.

Yeah. I think they are what most of us expected. 40 something wins. 6-8 seed in the playoffs. Drafting 17-20 pick.

The three ball will eventually start falling for Pritchard and White. This team plays pretty good D. They are going to win a fair amount of games.

Tillman is looking useful, so far. I like to see that.

Yeah. I mean if people want to keep cheering for losses then you do you. But I doubt they’ll even be in the lottery conversation.

They are either in the Playoffs, or in the Lottery.

Defensive stats say DW and PP should be starting. Offensive stats, Simons and Scheierman.

White and Pritchard are not second options. I do expect their percentages to rise but I am not expecting them to shoot their career averages. The loss of Tatum will be felt all year.

Perhaps Joe is trying to drive home the importance of defense and a well rounded game to Ant before inserting him in the starting lineup.

Having White shoot 18-19 times a game is not optimal.

3Pt%

JB - 46.3%
White - 25%
PP - 18%

I could only come up with one theory. PP and White in the offseason, the good teammates they are, decided to each transfer a little bit of their shooting skill to JB, Monstar-style, but something went wrong and they ended up transferring a little too much.

If anybody has a better explanation, I'm all ears.

Derrick White's PER is 11.3 and his TS% is 42%. There are 199 NBA players who've played enough minutes to qualify for the leader board, and Derrick is 194th (of 199) in TS%. The Trade board has been making up White to Houston trades for a month, last night Derrick had 5pts on 2-11 ... after last night, I don't think Houston is coming with a Godfather offer -- which is fine. Moreso, I don't want to get too negative but Derrick's off to a bad start...

Amari Williams looked pretty good in garbage time last night, we should play him in some of Xavier Tillman's minutes

We are shooting 3pt shots that are NOT OPEN shots just because our identity is leading the league in 3PTA -- a lot of these (5 a game at least) are just bad shots and shooting them is a losing strategy

Chris Boucher experiment doesn't seem to be working out, I'd rather we just kept JD Davison as a ballhandler or signed Amari Williams to a roster contract

We're 3-4 still ... but dang last night sucked! lol, man last night was like watching Paul Pierce in the post-Antoine, pre-KG window where we are just getting our ass kicked, lol
