^ Agree on this. I still don't think Gabe is NBA calibre, but hoping the Heat brass know much more than I do (which is a given).

I think once Dipo is healthy, those mins are his regardless. Now, Dipo isn't a pure Point either, but he's a savvy enough vet who can score and create.

Thad was never on a winning team until he got to Indy. He/they chose not to continue the partnership, and instead he got his last big payday. Now he’s making the rounds of chit teams and (hopefully) gets bought out by mid season.

I came back from a break and after watching two games of the preseason. What surprises me the most is freaking old Kyle Lowry. He is pretty much our Point God CP3 out there and makes everyone's job easy. Bam, Herro, and Robinson should have increased production this year, no doubt, and I love Goran to death, but the difference they provide to this team is night and day.

I'm confident with this team moving forward. We have to hope everyone is healthy to come playoff time. Exciting times bois!

We really have to stop with the paycuts bs. If we can't afford a dude, leave it alone.

This post is kind of unprovoked lol. What player is this in reference to? The DeRozan rumors? That was a local media thing. Didn’t come from the Heat.

Oh yeah the Derozan thing, was gonna attach the tweet to add context but yeah.

I'm not gonna say it's just local media. It's not like we don't have a history of it....and of it not working

Are we holding guys back at times in Miami? Are you telling me that BAM and Precious couldn’t have played together like this? Or did Spo not even want to try?

It’s so confusing to me but it is what is, I really like what we got going on for us right now, and preseason has been very encouraging, but it’s still pretty frustrating.

Different team dynamics between us and Toronto at the moment. Precious has an opportunity to showcase a broader skillset for the Raps in their current roster situation.

I do think he was miscast somewhat while he was here, but he looked awkward and not ready regardless of position. He's growing and should be pretty decent based on his physical profile and mindset.

I think he was more of the right guy for this team at the wrong time.

Rookies don't do well in their 1st years. And last year was a especially tough year for rookies. No preseason, no G league call down, limited practice and no continuity with players in & out because of covid. It was understandable why he struggled and why he didn't get minutes. This FO has done well to develop Bam, Herro, Duncan so I trust they know what they're doing. When it comes to young players for most of them it will take time. But unfortunately fans want instant results when it doesn't work that way.

Precious' jumper wasn't this good last year but he was working on it and it looks much improved as of now. Just looking at his 50% FT% with Miami last year gives you an idea where his shot was last year.

Who exactly did you want Miami to give up to do a sign and trade for Lowry? Robinson in a S&T that Robinson would have to agree with(at that point he may have just not worked with Miami)or send out Herro? Sadly, Precious was about the minimum Miami could send out to get that S&T.

Had Miami went the FA market vs possibly a trade for Lowry like they probably talked about at the trade deadline with Toronto, his price may have went up on the open market by being courted by more teams even though he wanted to go to Miami. Also, team options would have been declined so Dragic wouldn't have gotten what he's getting this year, QO would have to have been pulled for more cap space and with that, Robinson couldn't of signed early early and his price may have went up also and although Miami would have Bird rights still, they wouldn't have the ability to match since they pulled the QO to make more FA cash available to sign Lowry.

Things could have been way worse for Miami then just losing Precious and Dragic for Lowry.

Precious was never gonna be more than a 15 mpg backup center in Miami for as long as Spo is the coach and Bam is playing

IMO, Miami needed more a Lowry (PG) and a Yurtseven (7' long range big) type players next to Bam, than a Precious type. It completes the team, where as with Precious is just a lightweight Bam too short to cover the likes of Embiid, while not addressing our most needed areas.

I was already excited to watch this team this season. Even more so now after watching Herro this preseason!

Saw his potential & was 1 of his supporters in here who didn't want him traded. He's a worker. You can tell by his skill set - his technique, his footwork. What was missing was some physicality, which he addressed in the offseason putting on some muscle. His able to bang more in the paint & take more contact. That helps to open up his game even more & increased his confidence.

His IQ has improved. Quicker w/ decisions. plays a lot smarter. The longer offseason has benefited many players, Tyler seemed to have thrived & elevated himself - mentally, physically.

In his 3rd season he looks sharp as f*ck. I've been watching this kid train since he entered the league. He has the best resources around him & hasn't taken it for granted. Yes it's just the offseason but i'm predicting this kid is going to be a problem. We have a starting caliber player coming off the bench.

Here's to a lethal season for this kid.

Excited to see Butler when the season starts. Having a lot more energy and freedom to score. He can now be more versatile scorer instead of always having to bring the ball up and work from top of the key. Teams are gonna have a harder time game planning for him.

Raps will probably groom Precious into the next Siakam.

Where Precious and Bam differ is in the physical toolset.. Achuiwa is quicker and lighter, whereas Bam is stronger and more rugged. It's sucks we couldn't give Precious more time, I believe he could complement a player like Bam very well in the future. But still though, given our situation - if you can acquire a player like Lowry for him you do it 10/10 times.
