Thats brutal. He looks MORE out of shape than before. Thats a bad sign in terms of his work ethic/desire to succeed.
He'll probably still be an allstar....but i don't see him winning anything.
I mean just imagine how how much better he would be with an improved fitness regiment. He's "listed" at 280lbs? And looks a lot bigger now. The Pelicans should hire him a nutrition coach as well as personal chef that makes all his meals. It's just poor diet.
How do you know he doesn't eat those as his staple it's the extra after hours meals that make up the rest of his day that is not monitored that is contributing to his weight gain. Zion loves sugar and fast food, someone on the Pels staff noted he's seen him eating candies, cakes, burgers, fries, pizza and chugs lots of pop after practice. The fact that no one on the Pels staff has ever gotten to his face and told him the consequences of his choices means that they are scared of offending him thus leaving the franchise and demanding a trade or finishing his rookie contract. This kid is getting spoiled by his everyone including his own mother.
I mean that's true he would have to have at least some self-restraint however the nutritionist as well as the personal chef could tailor meals for him that would fill him up at a fraction of the calories.
