You're both out to lunch.

We have too many good, versatile players…….time to get rid of one.

Should we fire Masai while we're at it for having too many good, versatile players?

Let's blow this thing up and start again. We have too many good players.

what are you saying? Pascal is not as skilled or talented as any of those guys. You stop being a weirdo, Pascal simply just isn't that good.

Never said they are as talented. Do you know how to read? Those guys are clearly way more talented but they managed to play on the same team together.

To say there isn't room for Pascal and Scottie to play together if those 3 were able to is just as I said, silly.

Can you read? Where did I say you said that? SMH. Having Scottie and Pascal on the same team is redundant, especially with the amount Pascal is being paid. But you are entitled to your foolish opinion.

what does redundant mean? Both are good players? They can totally co-exist.

Everytime this happens with Raptors fans. If they are two players playing same position one of them MUST be expendable.

I like that comparison, even though I’d hope Scottie becomes much more of a prolific scorer than prime Iguodala. But the defence and passing are excellent of course.

hes also a better rebounder right now... i guess iguodala played more of the 2 for his career though...

What about Chris Webber with defense.

That's a good comp with better PG skills.

Idk Webber seems more traditional big man… Scottie is more of a wing… yeah hard to say… I guess Giannis light really is best comparison right now

He’s definitely not like Webber. Webber is closer to a traditional big but with brilliant passing skills and a nice mid range jumper. I like the comparison to Giannis however with a better shot. I see some Kawhi in him defensively of course. Kid is young, raw but showing a great deal of promise.

We couldn’t get Kawhi to re-sign and we couldn’t get Giannis during free agency so the basketball gods gifted us a little bit of both in Scottie. 8-)

Barnes is like a bigger younger Kawhi with Lowry's leadership.

when does ESPN provide an in-season update to their offseason grades? Keen to see them eat crow and upgrade their D+ rating for the Raptors to C- with a "jury is still out" or "they didn't sign a natural C" commentary

Why wont he play in the knicks game?
He jammed it. It's going to swell tomorrow and then they're in NY Monday. It's not enough time to heal. Plus it's on his shooting hand

And people saying I'm talking out of my ass...smh.

Of course he's out - haven't any of you jammed your finger playing sports? It hurts like a mother and I wouldn't be surprised if he's out against the Wizards as well.

Hmm, I'm not sure that's a bad comp considering that spacing in modern NBA is just different. Scottie is living off his physicality on drives right now and that midrange buffer teams are giving him. Obviously Webber more size to work with in the low post, but Barnes does that too - we saw him turn his back on Sabonis (one of the stronger PFs in the NBA) a few times without hesitation. Webber was more fluid and generally a better athlete, but both guys were very intuitive offensively.

I'm probably in the minority in thinking Barnes' handle needs more work. You can tell he has great feel and knows what he wants to do, but the execution is a little sloppy right now. He's also definitely benefiting from the increased leeway on physicality from the refs.

That's not always a great comp though. I've seen lots of players roll their ankles badly and not miss a beat, whereas I wouldn't be able to run for weeks.
