I'm not totally out on Love. I think some of his struggles right now are young QB ****. Part of my optimism is I don't think sitting does much for development, they need the live game experience. But anyone who's a strong believer in that sitting development plan should probably be really down on him.
Because frankly if this is the good version from developing for 3 years then he must have been so bad coming in he shouldn't have been a first rounder.
I mean, he kind of was. Not counting weird injury situations, he might be the most unbelievable 1st-round QB picked in my lifetime relative to performance in his last season of college. And the inaccuracy has been a constant, not to mention ridiculous inconsistent mechanics that are predictive of continued inaccuracy.
Not trading Rodgers in 2022 is an underrated part of this poop show though. Could have seen Love behind a much more effective line and with a younger, healthier Jones. Not to mention the picks they would have gotten for Rodgers. So, while I hated the pick all along, I hated the fact that they didn't trade Rodgers when it was clearly time to start rebuilding even more.
