I think the elephant in the room for the Clippers is S&T of Russell Westbrook along with Powell or Morris or whatever filler is needed and '28 1st rd pick to Sixers for Harden is the answer.
I don't see Philly wanting just Powell and Co and a 1st so at least with Westbrook you can sell it as a former Superstar who played really well in the PO's to pair with Embiid.
And even though Russ and Joel clashed I think it'd work as teammates as they both have something to prove as far as getting it done and winning a title.

Are you allowed to make sign and trades when capped out?

Man a Westbrook Embiid combination is something I would pay money for, really hope it happens.

I doubt Morey will undersell on Harden, specially when he is on a position where he will have to convince a team to pay him next year. If the Clippers wants him, they should be prepared to part with George.

Eh... Sixers have no leverage. Harden has proven that he will sit and / or actively tank your team if you force him to play.
The Sixers can't just waste a season since Embiid's got a very limited shelf life and is also a flight risk as this point in time...

We thought the same about Simmons...

Powell/Maxey combo would be nice as far as perimeter scoring
Sixers should ask for Batum if possible, he would be a very very useful FC partner with Embiid.

Harden isn’t very good anymore. If the Sixers replace him with a two-way guard like Norm while adding another depth piece they’ll easily win this trade.

And where did it get the Sixers?
That entire situation just opened the lid on the incompetence of the Sixers training / medical staff and has made free agents wary of even considering Philadelphia.
The Sixers wasted that season. By the time they got something of substance for Simmons, they didn't have enough time to work the acquired players into their system and develop schemes that maximized their strengths.
We've already seen that if you put too much weight in Embiid's shoulders his body won't hold up - are you really willing to play that game again?

If the Clippers give up batum they are signing their own death warrant. he's their small ball centre option and that spot is hard to fill. But I almost expect they will trade him.

Seriously, I could see it helping the Clippers and the Sixers. I don't think I like Harden's fit with the Knicks. Maybe Herro/Robinson/2FRPs from the Heat gets them Harden instead of Dame?
Because the Clippers are not trading Paul George for Harden...
What makes you say that? You think they wanna extend him? You think they’re excited to pay him $90MM the next 2 years and have him walk in free agency? I don’t know who else would want him if the clippers try to move on.
Trading George for Harden makes the team even older than it already was. Harden is going to need a new contract at the same time as PG. Trading one for the other solves absolutely nothing.

Norman Powell would be the conversation starter for this kinda deal. No deal will happen without him being included.

They are literally the same age right now lol. Harden is 8 months older, not really a meaningful difference.
I think you guys could use more primary ballhandling ability out of your second star next to Kawhi. I think the Sixers would be well-served giving Maxey more ballhandling responsibility and having a bigger wing that can work off-ball. I think you guys could use a solid forward in Harris as opposed to piecing that other forward spot together with Morris / Covington / Batum. I think the Sixers could use another scoring guard off the bench in Powell. Most of all, I think you guys could using the $75 million in expiring salary that Harden/Harris represents. Give it one more year with Kawhi, if it still doesn't work out you get a bunch of salary relief and have more flexibility to pivot.
Idk, Harden/Harris for PG/Powell makes a lot of sense to me.

Doesn't seem like a plan, trying to trick Morey into adding Westbrook and thinking of him as a former superstar is the convincing factor, lol

Do you really not understand how asset valuation works in the NBA or are you just **** with me?
Do you not understand how building a team with championship asperation works? Harden contributes towards that. Haliburton absolutely doesn't. Sacramento has improved without Haliburton becoming a playoff team.
76ers are a treadmill team. They won’t win a championship.

i would think no deal will happen without both Powell and Mann, but maybe Im crazy. I see a lot of clippers fans on twitter claiming that the deal will get done with like... Morris, Roco, and Batum.
