I know I'm gonna get shot for this, but Biedrins really isn't a bad player .. Sure, he's not worth 11mil, but he's not a Duhon. He's a legit C, and would be a great backup

We will be a sure 1st round exit if this trade happens. I guarantee it.

Then what? Dwight still leaves and we just ruined the franchise for a VERY LONG time.

I really, really hope this does not happen.

this is the same reason i called you out on lakers and ellis post. you do not put together ellis and kobe and hope they produce the same. you can not put together okafOr and dwight together and think that would be a solid defensive front court.

I didn't say the Lakers Ellis thing WOULD or SHOULD happen.....it just wouldn't have shocked me, given what the Lakers need and what GSW was looking for. As for a Dwight-Emeka frontcourt, what is your rationale as to why it wouldn't be a good defensive front court?

We could be swimming in cap space that year!

duhons contract is only guaranteed for $1.5mil if we waive him

Summer of 2013:

JRich & Davis are our only contracts on the books (if we get Biendrins and he opts-out). Roughly $13M, giving us something around $45M to fill a roster.

Sorry, but I don't like the deal. We better be getting a lot more, as in Lee, Ariza and Okafor too.

No you trade all that for DWIGHT FREAKING HOWARD.

Yep, this is what it really breaks down to.

Jarrod N Rudolph ‏ @MisterRudolph
For the record, I agree w/ any Nets fans that believe that this could be a play to get the Nets to up their offer for Dwight, absolutely

it says after next year biedrins has $9mil in player performance incentives, which is listed as unlikely, so im guess that last year is worthless for him, only next year is guranteed

This is an interesting idea, since Golden State can clear a ton of cap by dumping Biedrins and Wright on us and getting Kaman.

But who takes back Hedo? No way the Hornets do and if the Warriors do it defeats the purpose of the deal for them unless they really like Kaman.

Beidrins is not opting out of his contract. He will get nowhere near $13 mill from anyone else

If they get Kaman, Hedo does a lot more for them then Biedrins.

I agree. for that reason, i am skeptical about the exact nature of what is being discussed.

Ellis is not only the scorer we need but also the playmaker. He was tearing up the clippers yesterday, but he did have some trouble when del Negro put bledsoe on him.
I'll miss ryno, Redick and Q but if this rumor is true you pull the trigger! Ellis is a beast.
