I don't know about camp or preseason, but I'd be stunned and frankly disgusted if he's not ready for the first game vs the Wizards. That will have made it basically 7 months removed from surgery and physically 100%, I see no logical reason for him to not play.

Embiid suffered the meniscus injury after an awkward landing following a dunk. In addition to rehabbing his knee, he also noted he was working on doing a better job of finding his footing. "We've been working a lot on landing," Embiid said. "There's some stuff I need to correct this year."

 thank goodness. In my opinion, that was/is the single biggest worry for our team moving forward.

I'm perfectly fine holding him out until 10/10 he lands properly. There can be no reverting to old form. Simply not sustainable.

If that were true, and remember this is the same guy who said that Simmons was nearly 7 feet tall, then that would mean that the Sixers aren’t aiming for him to play in the first game, which contradicts what they said.

You can’t make your first 5 on 5 action be the first nba game. This wouldn’t make sense.

BC never said they were trying to get him ready for the first game. He said get him ready for the regular season. Big difference.

The Sixers told the media yesterday that Embiid, Okafor and TLC would not be participating in 5 on 5 during training camp. It may change as we get into preseason.

Ah, I confused training camp with preseason. They just mean this week then.

Well he does need to make it so easy in 82 games.

The talent is obvious, but if you worked with a talented guy in the real world, he eventually has to show up alot in 3 years.

He needs to play ball and stop giving us facebook highlights of him and the air, cause this new social media stuff is just dumb at this point.

Play ball man and thinking bout the max right now doesn't make sense. Get on the court, making sure his future is safe with money isn't the Sixers problem. He needs to play ball, cause Philly is a hard working city. Embiid, sorry, just hasn't done that, all he has provided is hope but nothing else.

You must be real fun at parties. You’re such a party pooper lol. Just kidding. Yeah Embiid needs to play. He loves basketball and he’s trying. Hopefully this year he finally plays over 60 games.

I might be a party pooper, but allow me to say Embiid is more a party pooper than me for a while now (3 years).

HOF talent, don't get me wrong on that, but we really need him on the court this year. Dated many a drop dead gorgeous girl, but eventually you realize if she is playing you. Hopefully he isn't playing us, and I would love to see 82 but I would be happy with 60 or so plus.

LOL.. you make it sound like he is doing it on purpose. I am sure the guy would love nothing more than to be fit and healthy and play basketball.

I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion. But playing us? That Is a strange set of words to use. The guy wants to play if he is limited by medical concerns, that is not under his conscious control. It's not like he can watch YouTube and work on his health like hie did with his shot.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way. (Marlo)

MAYBE Sixers FO makes Biid's injury bigger than it seems so they wont be pressured whenever they want to sit out Biid with the impression that he's samuel l jackson in unbreakable

Participated in half court 5-on-5 today. Also BC is going to be on WIP at 3 so maybe he gives an update.

If only they hadn't waited two months for him to have the surgery....
