Without clicking the link, is this Terry Funk and Cactus Jack with the chairs being thrown into the ring?

The fans who threw the water bottle, dumped the popcorn, and spit should be banned by the NBA and prosecuted by the law to the extent possible.
Demanding more than that is just crying and whining from entitled divas.

I feel like the fans that go overboard under the guise of heckling expecting there should be no consequences are the entitled divas
These athletes cannot retaliate without huge consequences. I dont blame them for taking up for themselves and wanting to prevent anything from getting out of control.

My approach to good criminal justice would not include 10 years of prison for throwing a water bottle.

Maybe a night in jail, a fine and a ban is a good start. The idiots pretending to be fans will actually think twice before they act foolhardy towards human beings trying to perform and do their jobs.

Re: The Playoffs Thread
It wasn't part of his job to insult the city of Boston before game 3 nor was it part of his job to stomp on the logo at center court in front of the onlooking crowd after the game.
Kyrie is perpetually out of pocket and played his part in inciting this incident.
Fans need to control their behavior. Arena security has to control the crowds. Players have to control their own words and behavior. This problem gets solved when everyone controls themselves. This is not a one party at fault problem.

In the climate the country is in right now, this is going to happen over and over.
The problem is that the people who do these things know that nothing significant is going to happen. They're privileged punks, who know the police don't care about the people they're abusing, and aren't going to do a thing about it.
The worst they get is a ride down to the station, and in exchange they get to laugh with their friends that they got a chance to humiliate Kyrie Irving by hitting him with a water bottle.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Yes, James, players should be able to beat the transgressor senseless and that should be the postgame show. I've been saying this.
All I know is when that bottle came flying, Kyrie flinched, so now he's gotta marry his mother-in-law

Stomping on a inatimate object should not incite anything to be thrown at you from afar . The city of Boston is just fine they have been a hateful fan base for the longest and if stomping on a logo by a former players insults them they should take a look in the mirror.
I can assure you no leprechauns were hurt in the process, just some Boston bball fans and Kyrie haters feelings.

Both Schroeder and Jimmy wants more money than what they’re offered. Both also underperforming.
Too much player empowerment
Too much player empowerment
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Yeah I mean you’re gonna get upset about Kyrie stepping on the floor you have to get mad at Celtics fans doing things that got him mad enough to step on the floor. It’s a circular sinkhole. Pretty soon Al Gore is in jail for inventing the internet. Kyrie is free to do that, the Celtics fans are free to chant “F Kyrie” (and worse) all night, the one moron crossed the line. Pretty simple.

You think that's going to last? How long before LeBron and KD are urging the league to do something about individuals who shout expletives at them the loudest?

It's what the market demands I suppose. Hopefully these next few drafts add a massive influx of talent.

That's not really what player empowerment means. An agent is going to posture in whatever way they think is going to net the biggest contract. I don't think that's new.

Are you under the impression that would be a new thing? People get kicked out for being obnoxious all the time. Remember the guy that double barreled Westbrook? And not just because players say stuff because other people complain.
I didn't mean they're literally free to say whatever they want, I meant more they're not somehow responsible for the end result of someone throwing a bottle.
