I say this all the time but bears saying again. AD's the worst passing star big man I have ever seen.

Good to see the competitive spirit awaken.

He always had that the difference is he hasn't played with another all-star since LMA left. Despite that he dragged a pretty damn meh roster all things considered to the WCF.

Refs clearly were told to make sure the Bucks win.

NBA is pretty much unwatchable compared to international basketball, or a league like the NBL. It's not sport - it's choreographed entertainment.

Boston will hunt dame down. The issue with Boston is they got too 3 point happy last year on offense and became predictable on offense (and streaky)

KD is so weak he makes Reaves look like a brick wall.

Truly have zero recollection of it. Is this sarcastic or genuine?

I think it was start of the 2022 season. Remember refs were letting everyone play physical until the floppers started crying they weren't getting as many free throws.

counterpoint - how do you guard dame dropping 3's from 35 feet out tho lol

I know there’s this idea that Holiday is a Dame stopper, but Dame’s averaged 25 ppg against Holiday.

What's wrong with Booker?

I think they're resting him because they don't need him against the Lakers.

Beal and Booker. Should have called it “player participation policy” rather than rest.

That's ridiculous

Its a terrible rule. Arbitrary by nature. How do you prove somebody is sore enough to play?

But......... The tv contract negotiations are ongoing. Last year was absolutely ridiculous as a fan. Teams and players took it way too far, and made the product considerably worse. Significantly worse during high inflation where going to a game got a lot more expensive anyway.

Edit- Also significantly worse as a tv product during a time when most people are now streaming and cutting traditional cable.

So I think something had to be done. Even as stupid as this. Players and teams need to do better.

Holiday is an all-time perimeter defender, but that Pelicans series had more to do with Dame than Jrue. Go look at the numbers. It was Dame but not Dame. Watching it at the time, I said, "In this series, Dame is playing like an MK Ultra subject who's had his programming turned off." He looked like a completely different person. Mindboggingly passive.
