I liked him as well but idk if he will be on the board at 29

If i had my way id get that number 2 pick from Warriors for Siakam and Grab Lamelo Ball, trade our pick + a player for RJ Hampton and run 2 Demigod PGs at Pg and Sg ....and rebuild cause i do not see this team being Elite after Lowry is gone sadly...Siakam is a Bosh type player and we have no real guys who can become a star...I don't see us getting better in free agency unless we get Giannis Bascially Giannis or Bust at this point

Are you really comparing Siakam with Bosh? Bosh was more skillful. Siakam is nowhere in this tier

Im saying as a player build and where they fit on a team...Not saying hes as good as Bosh...Siakam is a 3rd player to a championship team possible 2....Bosh is also a 2 or a 3rd type of guy ....Thats all im saying

That's a brain fart. Westbrook is making 41 million next year, 44 the year after and then 47 in his final year. All guaranteed money. Plus he legitimately is getting worse and worse.
Everybody is losing their freaking minds. Nutbars and wingnuts have infested this forum. We've become a public lavatory without cleaning staff.

If Houston decides to move on from Harden, I'd look to try to acquire him, I think he'd work in our system. We have the elite defensive schemes to hide his defensive deficiencies and our offense is pretty much catered to a player like him. Harden would look amazing in Vanvleet's role on offense.

Isn't Harden the star who always plays much worse than reg season? Fans are chewing up Siakam for this run, Harden would be even worse.

Wonder if we can throw the max at Ingram. I assume the pelicans will match but with covid and everything maybe they might cheap out and take back something like norm and a future first for Ingram. Only chance for us to get true number 1 potential option.

Any chance that pelicans feel the pinch since they are a small market team?

I wonder what we're gonna do with FVV. This series highlighted why his size makes him weak against good defenses, and we already have Pascal to worry about. And its not the first time; the size of the Sixers really got to him last year too.

If we can get good value back in a S&T, i'd explore it, definitely.

I hope you mean Jrue and Melli for Ibaka, McCaw and #59? :D Zion can learn patience from Ibaka.

Idk who Melli is but I think it make decent sense. NOLA needs a C since Favors is expiring this summer.

I believe it only hard caps the team receiving the sign and trade player. I could be wrong.

That’s what I’m trying to say. What team in the NbA is trying to be hard capped for next season?

It will be interesting to see what happens next. Obviously, locking in the FO should be the priority.

I don't necessarily think that a rebuild is realistic, but it is time to start planning for the next phase of Raptor ball. One of the underrated things that Masai did was build up a stockpile of tradable assets to push our roster to the next level. We'll need more of that, as I'm sure we'll need to make more trades similar to the Serge, PJ, Kawhi/Danny, Marc trades, and we need picks and excess young guys for that sort of thing.

Personally, I'd like to keep Kyle. But trading him for future picks might set us up nicely for our next run, as would any other move. Obviously, I have a lot of faith in Masai and I think he'll make some great moves. I don't think this is a season we will "run it back: though.

Also, I do wonder if right now (due to COVID) is a good time in general to be developing young players, or even making big changes. There probably won't be a G-League next season. There probably won't be the same opportunities to develop players, pick-up games, etc in this off-season. Obviously, it's a bad draft this year, and there may not be enough college/international ball before next draft to really scout players. Will scouts even be allowed in arenas? I'd even wonder if teams are worried about changing their rosters too much, and having players that fans don't have the same emotional investment in due to the lack of fans in arenas, etc. For example, we could trade for Oladipo and him never even set foot in Toronto next season. Who knows?

Was looking at the Knicks roster for potential sign and trade targets, and I dont see anyone realistic that I want; maybe Dennis Smith Jr? If Pistons get FVV, then I want Derrick Rose.

Just eliminate sign and trades. I don't know any team that would want to be hard capped with covid going on man. So much uncertainty with the cap so any restrictive salary structure is detrimental to teams.

I would be shocked to see sign and trades

Hmmm, what about uniting the Holiday brothers in Indiana?

Indiana gets: Jrue and #59

New Orleans gets: Ibaka and #54

Toronto gets: Oladipo

June 27, 2013: Drafted by the Orlando Magic in the 1st round (2nd pick) of the 2013 NBA Draft.

June 23, 2016: Traded by the Orlando Magic with Ersan İlyasova and Domantas Sabonis to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Serge Ibaka.

October 31, 2016: Signed a multi-year contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder

July 6, 2017: Traded by the Oklahoma City Thunder with Domantas Sabonis to the Indiana Pacers for Paul George.

Fitting Serge gets traded again for Oladipo.

Did the original poster forget to include the 2nd pick? Or MIN 2021 pick? What am I missing here? This is horrible without either pick.

they'd probably try to get rid of westbrook before harden and it'll be a while. i expect morey to be canned in the next couple of weeks

i think we can retain him at 15M given the smaller cap and lack of competition. good to keep him around as trade ballast.

Heres a blockbuster GSW-PHI-TOR deal from the Trade Board that may be interesting:

- The warriors need to shore up their front court and their defense.

- The sixers badly need a veteran point guard, and they have a glut at C, with Horford behind Embiid.

- The raptors are no longer championship contenders, and are going to pay Fred VanVleet at point guard. Lowry is a FA next year.

The trade:

GSW incoming: Al Horford, Matisse Thybulle, 2020 21st pick (via PHI)
PHI incoming: Kyle Lowry, 2020 29th pick (via TOR)
TOR incoming: Wiggins, 2020 2nd pick (via GSW)

We get to send Kyle home to Philly for a chance to win a championship. With the second pick, we likely draft either one of Anthony Edwards or Lamelo Ball. We start the core towards a future.

Fred / Edwards or Ball / Anunoby / Siakam / Horford

Bench: Norm, Ibaka (1 yr overpay deal), T Davis, Thomas, Boucher

Next year, Norm and Ibaka expire. We’re likely not gonna win the championship in the coming season, but we’re 2nd round playoffs material. The idea is to build a solid core with a high ceiling, along with flexibility for the future.

I'd trade down from 2 after acquiring the pick, but overall it's decent.
