Brooklyn’s Claxton is probably a better comparison, would be a good athletic big. We would have to ditch one of our other bigs, but Richards didn’t show me anything anyhow

Yes, GREAT comparrison, which isn't too shabby on Sims part. Funny how if he's drafted he would have the 2nd highest vertical ever behind his Boss Jordan who has the highest ever lol.

There is always so much talent in the draft. The difference between success and failure is all about having systems in place to put players in the best position possible. Then it's all up to the individual player whether they'll succeed or fail. That's why teams like the Pacers, Jazz, Blazers, etc. find a way to win year after year. I think we've made progress in that area thankfully, I hope we can keep it going.

another guy to keep an eye on:

Trey Murphy iii
UVA SF
6'9 w 7' wingspan
43% 3 pt
good defender
from Durham

because of his shooting similar to PHX surprise pick of Cameron Johnson expect him to be a riser
San Antonio, picking #12, has had him in for workout

This is the complete and I would assume FINAL list of the players I want between both rounds if available. They are arranged from best to worst. What I find intriguing about this draft is how many COMBO GUARDS there are. I do like Josh Giddey (shout out to DIOP) but I doubt I would take him due to us having LaMelo already. The first line are the players I am sold on. 2nd line are others considering... Either way we have OPTIONS :D. I truly like Jared Butler but the problem I have is, would he be good soley at SG...

If we were to KEEP pick 11, my pick would be - KUMINGA, PRIMO, BUTLER, SIMS. (in that order).

COMBO GUARDS -

Josh Primo, Jared Butler, Ayo Dosunmu, David Duke, Nah’Shon Hyland, JaQuori McLaughlin,
David Johnson, Austin Reaves, Duane Washington Jr.,

-----
POINT GUARDS -

Josh Giddey, Jason Preston, Daishen Nix,

-----
SHOOTING GUARDS -

Moses Moody, James Bouknight, MaCio Teague,
Aj Lawson, Quentin Grimes, John Petty,

-----
SMALL FORWARDS -

Jonathan Kuminga, Trey Murphy III, Vrenz Bleijenbergh, Johnny Juzang, Aaron Wiggins,
Aaron Henry, Emitt Mathews JR, Derrick Alston Jr., Malcolm Cazalon

-----
POWER FORWARDS -

Kai Jones, Trendon Watford, Chris Smith, Troy Baxter JR,
Amar Sylla,

-----
CENTERS -

Jericho Sims, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, Charles Bassey, Sandro Mamukelashvili, ike obiagu,
Derek Culver,

Ranking the guys I want

1. James Bouknight (bigger, longer, better Monk)
2. Moses Moody (gives me Eddie Jones vibes)
3. Cam Thomas (dude can get buckets better than just about anyone else in the draft)
4. Kai Jones (I love the idea of him sprinting around everywhere with Melo and the Boys)
5. Tre Mann/Jalen Johnson (bring different things to the table, but both are very intriguing)

Do not Want:

Giddey (homeless Melo... doesn't fit)
Davion Mitchell (too small)
Garuba (too small)

"Meh" List:

Franz
Kispert
Penguin
Keon
All of the wings who shot under 30% from three. Seriously. All AAU is these days is 3's and dunks. How are these kids such terrible shooters still?

I want to like Giddey, but when I saw reports that said his handle is a weakness that is a dealbreaker for a guy with his skillset. He has to be able to break down defenses off the dribble to force rotations to utilize that vision.

I LOVE this list. I actually FORGOT to include TRE MANN on my list who I am a big fan of. All the guys on this list (excluding Jalen Johnson) I have been a fan of for a while. I always like at least %95 of your picks lol.

Here is my WHO I WANT, DO NOT WANT LIST and why

WHO I WANT -
James Bouknight - Wont be a superstar but will be a cult follow who would bring joy in a back court with melo
Kaminga - Maybe the most talented player in the draft
Moses Moody - Boring af, but in a Joe Johnson kinda way
Tre Mann - My dude for a while now. I like his low key star appeal
Josh Primo - Super star potential and only 18. Can even grow
Nah’Shon Hyland - I been watching him since his street ball days
Jared Butler - imo will be top 3 player in this draft
Ayo Dosunmu - Something about Ayo just wants me to be his friend lol
David Duke - Could be a 2nd round steal and has star potential
MaCio Teague - I just added him here because I am a HUGE fan. Dude will be a solid contributer

WHO I DON'T WANT -
Scottie Barnes - Talent is there, not sure he can handle stardom
Jalen Green - Too many other SG's late
Jalen Suggs - No way better than Jared Butler. He proved that in the TITLE GAME
Josh Giddey - Like previously posted WE ALREADY HAVE LAMELO
Keon Johnson
Franz Wagner
Jalen Johnson
Ziare Williams

While Onu’s path to the pros has been unorthodox, the pathway for him to sticking in the league is pretty simple. He has legit size for a center, shot 40% from three on 130 attempts as a senior and averaged 16.9 points, eight rebounds and 4.5 blocks in 33 games. Granted, this was playing at the NAIA level, where he was an All-America at Shawnee State in Ohio and led his team to a national championship last season.

During a workout at a team’s facility this month, Onu measured at 6' 10" barefoot with a massive 7' 8" wingspan, metrics that will play up at any level of basketball.

Whats the catch with this guy? How does a reasonably athletic dude with those measurements and a 3pt shot end up playing NAIA?

At this stage I would be thrilled with Barnes, Moody, Wagner, Keon Johnson at 11. I really wanted one of the centers to impress me but I just feel they are a clear tier or two below the big guard/forwards.

First, I just want to say I see a lot of people saying "we already have Lamelo". I would LOVE to add another Lamelo to this team. What I mean is, Giddey and Lamelo could coexist, and I honestly think the best way to take advantage of Lamelos skillset is to pair him with another floor spacing supercreator. Not saying thats Giddey but I don't hate what I have seen from him and wanted to make that point about that player type.

I like Moody, I like what I see from Sengun, if Barnes fell to us it would be a blessing. I don't want Kispert, although he had a great combine supposedly.

I trust Mitch. I just hope he continues with his BPA mentality which I'm pretty sure he is.

I truly believe our biggest areas of need are at the 3 (badly need a defensive presence that the defense has to guard), backup PG (Devonte role if we lose him), pure scorer off the bench (Monk or replacement), and obviously 5 (need a guy that can catch and quickly finish. Seems like we are destined for someone like Richaun Holmes which I would be thrilled with).

Would be thrilled with Wagner. He's not the sexy pick but he fits us so well and can defend. Just having him play instead of the Martin twins immediately boosts our potnetial

Surprised he has Moody so low. I guess lack of dribbling/shot creation.

I'm leaning Barnes (pipe dream), Keon Johnson, then Moody, then Wagner, then Jackson/Jones

Remember in 2008 when we all wanted Westbrook and then the weeks before the draft he rose dramatically up the draft board? That's what I feel in Barnes. I think he'll be one of the best players of the draft but he'll go right before us tragically

Barnes is already going 4-7 in most mocks and I haven’t seen him make it past 10 in any. I would not get your hopes up at all with him.

I am suprised Jericho Sims isn't on this list because I heard he was having an awesome COMBINE. He was slated (or not) to not get drafted, then I started seeing some mention him going as high as early 2nd.

I also see Josh Primo there who was not even supposed to get drafted and who is in the top 26. I think he is gonna be a really good player if not this year next. As of now my picks for 11 are

Primo, Butler or Sims via trade back. Only other I am considering is Giddey. My dream draft for us would be

11 - Primo
57 - Sims
58 - Juzang

I think this year is a no brainer to trade back from 11. There is noone there that we NEED and to trade back and pick up future assets is the way to go imo. Primo is only 18 (he is the youngest player in this draft). Next year imo he will be slated in the top 5-7 pick range. If we were to trade back we could potentially get him at pick 20 or so and have a future 1st rounder. If not Sims is almost guaranteed to be there.
