After reading Shams, KOC and Mark Stein, here's the offers for Kyrie the Nets received:
1. Mavs = Din + DFS + 1 1st + 2 2nds
2. Clippers = Mann + Kennard + 1 1st + 2 swaps
3. Suns = Chris Paul + Crowder + 1 1st (Nets wanted 3 1sts which is fair since CP3 and Crowder are negative assets IMO)
4. Lakers = Westbrook + 2 1sts

Of those 4, I def like the Mavs the most as a win now move.

The Mavs deal makes the most sense if you aren't moving Durant. So now we need to flip the 3 1sts for another player

3 1sts?

How many picks do we have left? This is a 2029 unprotected first from Dallas. I think we only have a 2027 pick from Philly left outside of that.

The seconds need to be used to beef up the Center spot first. There’s no guarantee this will end well beyond this year. I’d only move those picks for a serious addition.

The Nets and Raptors were talking, a guy like Trent Jr or OG would be fine by me but those picks have to be used for a real star. Hard to see it happening this week. We would’ve had to probe a while ago.

OG

Facts. Perfect fit next to KD, Simmons and Clax.

Beal is gettable. Wouldn’t take much more than ben Simmons plus picks.

I am happy with the Dallas trade

Clippers has my interest in both Mann n the 3 1sts

Sun's would be a more win now move, I could see KD being real happy with CP3 n another grinder in Crowder on the team

What's weird to me is that if we don't want Simmons why would any other team do?

I liked the Suns move initially. But after hearing what Suns fans have to say it seems CP3 is basically washed.

And with multiple years left of KD it makes no sense to get someone that old.

Dinwiddie is in his prime and putting up similar numbers anyway.

Not to mention Crowder is another head case I don't want to deal with.

Clippers/Lakers packages were both clearly worse.

Exactly. It’s Phoenix vs Dallas in terms of overall package. Paul didn’t get a pass due to age and contract money owed honestly. He’d be a poor fit with Ben.

The irony is....we play the Clippers and Suns on a back to back tomorrow lol

Simmons, 3 firsts, Cam for Beal.

Makes sense for both teams.

Wizards are just going nowhere and can rebuild.

Dinwiddie/Beal/DFS/KD/Claxton looks like a title contender

Alternative is:

Simmons and first round pick or two for Siakim

We can trade the PHL 2027, our 2028 or 2029 & the Dallas 2029.

Guys we're stuck with Simmons right now, unless we give up those 3 picks but then we won't be able to get another star player . I rather use one 1st to get a guy like Clarkson. Lavine is damaged goods. I don't want Trae Young. Siakam and OG would be nice but Raptors want an arm and a leg for each. And other teams don't seem like they're blowing it up right now so I doubt we get Dame or Beal etc..

siakam has 2 all nba teams in the last 3 years. multiple time allstar.

ben is negative contract - possibly worst in the league.

siakam is worth a rudy gobert package. there is no match for siakam with the nets.

og isn't possible w/o claxton being involved.

so basically, raptors and nets don't have deal possibilites.

This. People need to stop thinking of Ben deals. He's got no trade value right now. Hold him for another year, and then worst case he's an expiring.

We should use our wing depth to try to acquire a backup C & another 2 way guard that can score. Think rerouting DFS or trading Harris, Royce or Curry.

This sounds highly delusional.

Siakim couldn't even make the All Star team this year. Simmons has also made All-NBA teams in the past.

And Toronto clearly needs a reset. Simmons would do better in an environment without so much pressure.

The idea that OG is worth Claxton is also comical.

You sound like a complete homer. There is a reason the Raptors are bad this year.

Those guys are not worth what you think they are.

i'm not going to debate siakam's worth. i'm giving you the perspective of what masai would expect in return. the deal you proposed is awful for the raptors.

ben simmons has negative value. you want to bring up siakam not making the all star team this year (putting up all star numbers but team record wasn't good), fine. then are you ready to talk about ben simmons this year? the guy afraid to shoot or make a layup?

westbrook has more value than ben b/c he's expiring. i think you need to accept that. that's the landscape of the nba right now.

masai is not dumping siakam for a useless player on an awful deal and one frp.
masai is not going to dump og (whom everyone says is highly sought after) w/o claxton b/c the nets have nothing else of worth to offer. masai doesn't want picks 5 years from now. he likes to re-tool with talent, not go scorched earth.
