Again, this would then force a FT battle, because fouling with little time going off the clock and then they do it the same way, then once more maybe then the last dozen or so seconds have run off but the team needs to hit the FTs which they already missed two.
Not miss those two before it and this doesn't happen.
The NBA enacted a new rule on off-the-ball fouls—personal fouls against an offensive player who neither has the ball nor is trying to obtain it. On such fouls within the last two minutes of the game or in overtime, the offensive team is awarded the usual number of free throws and then possession of the ball.
So since Deuce trying to get the ball as he's getting screened in the action it's not away from the ball then that doesn't apply, you realize that, right?
