Its def Shais to lose. Playoff history matters for Mvp voting even tho its a regular season award and shouldnt matter.

Jokic wouldve 3peated Mvp and gotten Embiids if he went further in playoffs but there was loud talks of this guy shouldnt have 3 Mvps w/ 0 rings or early playoff exits. Nuggets had the biggest game 7 choke ever at home last we saw them in playoffs. Shai was 2nd in Mvp last season and some thought he shouldve won it if he and Jokic continue to dominate Shai will have the narrative no doubt

I dont think you know what dog walked means. Mavs barely scraped by Okc. Both teams scored 636 points that series and Okc had biggest blowout win of the series. 2 of Mavs wins came in 1 possession game including game 6 where Mavs had to rally and won the game at the Ft line in the last 2 seconds

Im not an Okc fan.....................and you dont seem to know what dominate means. Okc series w/ Dallas was extremely competitive and most games were down to wire including final game where Mavs had to literally win @ Ft line w/ 2 seconds left in the game

The Mavs were lucky to escape that series. SGA tore them up all 6 games, Luka didn't play well for his standards, Kyrie had one of the worst playoff series of his career. Unfortunately for SGA, nobody else on OKC showed up.

It was the same BS with Jokic before he won a ring. People would cry playoffs even though he balled out in losses & was let down by his teammates. Playoff history incudes more than just winning or losing.

Jokic leads the league in RPG and APG and he's going for another advanced stats trifecta for the fifth straight year.

Kareem won five MVPs with just one ring and Jokic may be on a similar trajectory.

Tatum and SGA are the only ones who can realistically win it aside from Jokic. Jokic missing a couple of unexpected games for personal reasons matters alot, in seeding as well as in rustiness and ofc, the production lost by missing those games. we'll have to see hoe long he remaines out and what effect whatever it is he's going thru will have on him

i've said that many times in the past,I don't think Tatum is a real MVP caliber player so to me it's only SGA whose now (again) on Jokic's heels. it'd be one of them two when it's all said and done, imo

The reason why this seems to be over early is because everyone doing pretty much exactly what they did last year...and if they do that Jokics wins again...someone needs to be significantly better than they have been so far to catch him and this is his avg year

Jokic's 3 point shooting will probably fall back down to earth, but people are forgetting that his 2 point shooting is actually down significantly by his own standards. That will likely climb back up to his normal range and compensate for his 3 point shooting levelling off.
