We made these runs without Tyler, what if Tyler is able to translate his game in a lesser role when we get to the playoffs next to a true number 1 and hopefully a playmaker and that’s the next step he takes in his game?

In just their first season together we had a 108.5 DRTG with Bam and Ware on the court together, that would rank 2nd in the league. We might be on the brink of having a next level defense next year getting those 2 more acclimated and hopefully some other solid 2 way guys joining. We just need that elite offensive talent infusion and some playmaking.

And no Tim Hardaway I’m not saying this because of Bam, I want to win championships with or without Bam (sure it’d be nice with him) were the Miami Heat that’s what we fuxkin do!!

It's not about Bam for me. The KD situation is about wanting to ride with old KD, and that's not something I'm down with, and if it was I'd have rather just paid Jimmy. I do not believe in KD as the guy who can turn this around.

But maybe I'm wrong, we'll see if that's the direction they go. The fact Tyler is improved and healthy is an addition the Jimmy squads never had. So who knows. Then again, I still like the fit of Jimmy next to Tyler more than KD, Jimmy would be able to feed Tyler and blend in, KD and Tyler to me I don't see the synergy, and old Durant isn't going to help more than Jimmy did to cover Tyler's defense.

And this is all ignoring you have to give something up to get Durant. At minimum you're looking at picks and Kel'el Ware. So if it doesn't work out, you give up all the pieces that would be part of a rebuild.

I think if you can get a top 20 guy all time, top 5 scorer ever if not top 3, still playing at a very elite level averaging 27-6-4 on 64TS% you do it, especially when our biggest need is offense. I think even just having his presence and seeing his work ethic etc. can yield positive results for all of our guys, especially the young ones. I also think it will attract some of the several top vet
Minimum guys that will be available this summer to fill the roster out well, one of those needs to be a playmaker so they can get our guys like Bam/Herro/KD in their spots and help run an efficient offense that is getting high quality shots.

Time will tell but I there you’re overestimating KDs value in a trade this summer. I think we’re looking at Wiggins, one of our expiring guys and 2 1sts. Maybe Jovic or Jaime, I think Ware is safe, and then you have 3 monsters in the front court between the size of Bam KD and Ware. Honestly with the Giannis sweepstakes going on, Jas apparent availability, Zion on the market, etc. we really may not be battling too many suitors and that doesn’t even consider the fact that at this point KD will go exactly wherever he wants to go. This is like a free agency to him

Honestly it will cost us Ware, other teams will be after KD so expect a bidding war. KD is not going to say i only want to come here either. Then factor how basically everyone looked like trash this playoffs.

Wiggins value went down to maybe not even neutral.
JJJ didnt even get much playing time and was a horrific sophomore year, to say his value is in the dirt is being optimistic.
Jovic didn’t impress and had injury issues and he is up to get paid soon.
Terry well lol no need to touch that
Duncan, see above lol

Assuming no one gets fired/resigns/retires, the goal of the front office is to make money by making the playoffs. Not winning a ring. A KD/Herro/Bam team should at least get us out of the first round and thats mission accomplished for this front office.

The same fans banging the table for KD are the same ones that did so for Lillard, Beal, etc. You’re seeing how that situation has blown up in Milwaukee. Thankfully the Heat organization doesn’t take ideas from fans online otherwise we’d be the suns if not worse. A few guys online who think they’re the smartest guy in the room has no bearing on what the team deems the best decision for the franchise moving forward

I just don’t see him not dictating exactly where he wants to go, that’s exactly what he did when he left the Nets although he did have us 2nd if that wasn’t to work out. Then again we almost got him at the deadline, we’ll circle back this summer and get something done. The Suns will get cap relief with our expirings, a solid rotation player in Wiggins (they can flip to a 3rd team if they want) and 2 1sts and that’s a pretty damn good haul for for a 37 year old imo. I just have a hard time seeing Ware involved in this one

I don’t think, I know and sure thing, we didn’t try to get KD when he left Brooklyn and OKC and we didn’t try to get him at the deadline either.

Also the Heat wanted Lillard and they were fine trading for Beal too if he would remove the NTC.

I suspect that if KD is interested in playing here, the interest will probably be mutual. Another way I look at it is Bam has that max deal the next 2-3 years, realistically that's probably going to be his "peak" years so if you think KD can continue to be efficient 25-27 a night guy during that time it may be worth it. It's arrogant as hell to act like this is some sure thing though, and people are right to have reservations due to age.

Running victory laps about the FO not maximizing Jimmy’s championship window by landing a “whale” and then running the 3rd best player in franchise history out of town is an odd stance to take but hey more power to you phahrenheit

The issue is giving up future firsts… suns will be trying to recoup draft capital at all costs, doubt they’ll be interested in fringe prospects

KD would seem to be the guy we could realistically acquire and keep us competitive.

We need Pelle to become a legit starting calibre guard, as he could be the defender we need to protect Tyler in the backcourt. I don’t mind the Marcus Smart shout either, despite how much I despise the guy.

What do we think a KD deal would look like?

Apparently a Wiggins, Jovic, Jaquez, Rozier and picks is enough for a KD package lol

No chance Ware is involved. They’ll get Jovic and JJJ the 2025 pick and 2031 and we’ll sign some players with the Duncan savings.

Why wouldn’t it be. He’s going to be 37 and will be demanding an extension that pays him 60 mil at age 39. I don’t see a ton of teams interested. Unless Houston wants to give the Suns some picks back which from reports they are reluctant to do. Also the Suns will probably look for the best deal with an East team. Look what Jimmy just went for

I thought he is 37 and supposed to age like LeBron? That should make him attractive to more teams than just the Heat, right?

One minute we’re calling him old to lowball the Suns, and the next we’re hyping him up as too elite for his age like other teams wouldn’t be interested.

Way too much mental gymnastics going on here.

So he’s going to pick the team that got crushed by the Cavs in historic fashion over a Houston squad with way more potential?

This applies to Giannis too. That’s why it’s important to be competitive in playoffs. Right now, our guys look soft, and this doesn’t exactly make us a desirable destination.

We need Pelle to become a legit starting calibre guard, as he could be the defender we need to protect Tyler in the backcourt. I don’t mind the Marcus Smart shout either, despite how much I despise the guy.

What do we think a KD deal would look like?

Possible 3 way deal with the Wiz. Multiple moving parts. Possibly Larrson has to be included going back to Zona. Durant and Smart end up here. Suns end up with some form of Middleton(expiring), Jovic, JJJ, Larrson, 2025 and 2031 picks. Wiz gets Wiggins, Rozier, and fillers.

I don't understare you guys saying bam For kd?
I think we can do better kd if we're gonna trade bam

But the sad part about it is...We are basically gonna run it back again.

Okay we have a good team...but 10 to 1, it's play.in again for us Next season.
