The Packer board is doing an NFL Mock Draft. Are there any Giants/Jets fans that would be willing?

IDK I just feel people who smoke on 4:20 are lame. It's like an excuse for people who dont toke to for one day and then go on with their lives. I don't need any dumb holiday to tell me what to do anyway.

I believe in Aliens but I dont really think they have ever come in contact with human beings but theres some weird stuff in this video. Are 51 employee (supposedly) call at the 8:18 mark...that part was actually really convincing and scared the **** out of me
Apparently the "Area 51 Caller" called again and said he was just "doing an act."

It proably was a joke. Im not a crazy conspiracy theorist and like i said before i dont think aliens have ever visited eearth but if that were true and the government did catch him of course they would make him say it was an act. All i know is that sounded like genuine fear in his voice. He must be one damn good actor.

While many of us are pretty avid fans of the Knicks, do you ever get the feeling that you are a little too fanatic towards the Knicks or any other team you religiuosly follow? It seems like that is the key word: religion. When did following a team become religion? Was it like this in the 60s or 70s? Sometimes I feel we can delve a little too deeply into sport culture where it taps into our psychi. As much as I love sports and hope to have a career related to sports the question that always re-images itself into my mind is : Is it that serious? You see acts of stupidity just because of fandom, for example when those Philly fans destroyed a Giants players Porsche, or a riot after a soccer match and you just wonder when, how and why. But it is not always in such extremity. Even as the Knicks go down 3-0 in this series against the Celtics I feel a pain in my heart but why? It has no impact on the daily routine of my life. I'm going to go to sleep, wake up, and do what I usually do on a Saturday. SO the question really is: Do we take sports too seriously?

I see what you're saying atribecalledrch. I feel just as badly as the guys do in the locker room right now. And I get pissed when they lose... I mean, why should I care? Not like I'm on the team. But I do care. Wah..

I think the answer for some of us is yes. Personally, it ruins my weekend that this happened tonight. I am now staying in instead of going out because I know I am going to be a prick to people. I don't know why we become such fanatics.

I was irate after game 1, felt that the knicks got robbed. This series is making me rethink on how much I should follow the Knicks. I backed off the Yankees a few years ago, might do the same with the Knicks after this disappointment. I shouldn't be upset right now, had a normal fun day. Came home watched the Knicks lose and now I am upset because of that. Something I have absolutely no control over. Maybe it's time to step back, and just enjoy the good moments that comes with this team. Anything bad, well it has no effect on my life, so don't worry about it. I am not D'antoni who has to worry about my job, nor the players who has to worry about my next contract, perception etc...

That is just an awful, terrible, despicable way to look at fandom. Just shake my head all over the place.
Why even bother with some people.
Being a fan is worth it when they win. If I wasn't such a big fan of my teams, I don't know what I'd do with my life.

Even when they win, like the Yankees winning it all a few years back. I was happy as hell when they won, especially after all those playoffs loses I had to endure in the previous years. Then you're happy about it for days, weeks, maybe months. Then next season comes around and it's like "here we go again", meanwhile that whole time you really gained nothing from them winning the title besides being happy about it.
Never going to stop being a fan, just become a fan who's less emotionally invested in the teams. Don't see the problem with that.

Yankees is different. Baseball is a different nature. Football and basketball.. at least for me, make all the pain worth it. I love the draft. I love FA. I love the hype around it. If it is ''here we go'' for you, well, I don't think you have a natural passion for sports like some do.

Believe me, I am very passionate about sports. Maybe too passionate. I can be upset about a game of basketball that I am playing in because I was actually playing and had some control on the outcome. But what about the Knicks? Should I be really upset because a team I root for (but have no control on how they play) lost?
It's not about passion for sports, it's about expectations as a fan. Understanding that no matter how much I yell at my tv, stand up during the game or jump up and down like an idiot, it won't make the Knicks play better. And if they lose, then "nothing I can do about it" and therefore I shouldn't be upset....
