I think it's a no-brainer.
This team has several holes. The main one is we need a 3rd option and Lance is the best 3rd option out there for money alone. And he's 23. He can grow with Kemba, MKG, Zeller, the player we take with the Blazers pick and the player we select with the Pistons pick. It could be a really strong group of young players to watch mesh for a very long time. Clifford is solid. The culture is solid.
Actually depending on what Utah would match Hayward costs money alone too.
True, but I don't see a scenario in which Charlotte can net Gordon Hayward without doling out a near max-contract offer unless there was a sign-and-trade scenario in which the Detroit 1st rounder is going out, and I would strongly disagree with that idea
