Read on Twitter

So we basically already have a Jabari Parker on the team, who’s younger, still on a rookie-scale deal, with his ACL intact.

Maybe Bobby can play the 3? :)

I’m intrigued enough if this came about, but only with the understanding that he plays the 3 starting with Lauri. I don’t watch a lot of Bucks basketball, but it’s odd to me for someone who’s 6’8 can’t play the 3. I had just kinda assumed that’s his natural position with Giannis at the 4 who is a few inches taller.

With the Nets looking like gold with that Denver trade, a trade the Bulls should have made, I wonder if the organization threw out a rumor to some low hanging fruit on twitter to take the heat off.
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?

This sounds like someone who could read the tweets about “smoke” around Bulls/Jabari so to make a name for himself just made up a deal in the hopes of it coming to fruition. Even called it a 2 year deal at first before realizing that wasn’t allowed under the cba.

From what I saw, Jabari is an awful defender. Lazy, not focused, get lost on backdoors and killed on pick and rolls.
Advanced datas are not kind to him either (-1,6DBPM). The only good defensive games he got was the 2 home games during Boston series.

He should fit right in with Zach then! #Chemistry

Wasn't it the whitesox insider guy that called this first?

Eh, some specific tweets might be premature, by there's too much smoke here. Reputable sources have confirmed the interest is mutual, the Bucks won't be able to match an offer sheet over a certain amount due to triggering the hard cap, and no other teams other than Sacramento appear interested.

So you have Milwaukee probably not able/not wanting to keep him, two teams interested, Jabari probably more interested in us than Sacramento, and all the smoke saying Jabari/Bulls is happening. It's probably more likely than not at this point.

I agree. This is a low risk move. And he’s still more skilled than Bobby Portis. I like the move actually and I’ve been one of the bigger critics of the FO.

I especially like it if you can then flip Felicios contract off with Bobby.

Anyone who thinks this hurts us in getting a high pick is not understanding two things - Bulls were going to be playoff contenders this year anyway and the draft is pretty weak without high schoolers. There’s prolly only two legit potential stars.

Eh not sure as currently setup the Bulls would make the playoffs this year. Unless everyone takes a big step.

The only locks as a playoff team
Boston
Toronto
Indiana
Milwaukee

Should make it:
Washington

That's 3 spots wide open. The Bulls have as good of a shot as any to make it, especially with Jabari.

As long as we bring Nwaba back so he can be out there defensively for extended stretches next to Jabari or LaVine. It's worth a shot at hopefully getting 2017 level Jabari with a full year of recovery now, especially if it isn't longer than 3 years.

Philly is an obvious lock. But I get your point, 2 playoff spots definitely up for grabs.

Seems like those accounts are fake but they can offer a 2 year deal unless Bucks offer Max QO by midnight. Kristen Ledlow says he will be an unrestricted free agent if Bucks don't do anything by then.

The Bulls FO does not care about optics or heat. Almost pathologically so. I wish they did.

I don't know how you missed Philly. Miami is decidedly better than the Bulls, and Detroit less so. New York and Charlotte have legitimate star players which Chicago hopes their core pan out to be but aren't there yet.

I'm excited, y'all.

If Jabari signs for $57m over three years -- and if the Bulls can find a way to dump Asik and Felicio ($20m in savings), perhaps facilitating a Melo deal -- they could have Dunn/Lavine/Parker/Lauri/WCJ w/ Valentine and Hutchison on the bench AND $40 million in cap space.

To be clear, in this scenario I'm letting Cam Payne walk, I'm theoretically using Portis as bait in a dump with Asik and/or Felicio, or just a trade straight up for -- hopefully -- a first rounder. I know Portis is a favorite around here, but he's going to get decently paid and with Lauri and WCJ, it just wouldn't be worth it for the Bulls to be the one to do it. Might as well turn him into some sort of future help, be it cap space or a pick.

For the first time in a long time we've got a young, intriguing core, aka a team that good free agents might reasonably be interested in playing with, AND money to play with.

Fun times in the near future. Thank god.

We could have had at least one more SOLID player with possible star potential.

How stupid is this FO, always.

Yeah let's give a contract to a guy who plays 35 games a year on average since he came into the league 4 years ago.
:o LeBron is 0-7 in game winning/tying FGs in the finals. And is 20/116 or 17% in game winning/tying FGs in the 4th/OT for his career. That's historically bad :o
