For anyone that is against tanking: what is happening here isn’t getting the job done. We need a new direction.

If you don’t want to tank, fine. But at least position the team to be able to sign or trade for big time players. This is getting really old.

I asked my Alexa Echo Dot "What is the definition of disaster?" and it brought me to OrlandoMagic.com

Strange huh.

So essentially the Magic took a 38-win team and...

Replaced DJ Augustin with Cole Anthony
Replaced Wes Iwundu with Dwayne Bacon
Replaced Jonathan Isaac with Chuma Okeke

And that's it.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think the best case is Chuma/Fultz/Cole/Bamba get a lot of playing time, we struggle because our team just isn't that good, we move players and get a high pick in 2021. But I'm sure we will somehow win enough games to get us in striking range for the playoffs.

The thing is I used to care to get angry.
Now I just don't care.
I thought Hennigan was bad but this WeHam show is even worse.

I think it’s time to gather in front of Amway Center with signs and chanting to fire Weltman, Hammond and Alex Martens. The only way this sleep walking ownership group fixes this or sells to an owner who gives a damn is to put our discontent on camera.
You look confused...let me fill you in.

Hennigan at least tried. Sure Biyombo and Ibaka were awful, but he actually attempted to improve the team. Not to mention the core of our team minus Isaac and Fultz are all his guys too.

I wish enough fans would be down for something like this, but I think very few would. Just go check out the Magic subreddit, the people there love our team and want to run it back as much as the FO. Fans and media in Orlando being as quiet as Mickey Mouse is a big reason why this organization can continue to get away with this product. People will still line up to buy the new orange jerseys and ownership will be happy.

And this is the exact reason why absolutely nothing will change. No one with power actually cares about the Orlando Magic. Not the ownership, management, media, players, no one. No one with power will speak up about the absolute rubbish happening in this organization. We will continue to be ignored by the larger NBA community and the national media. Local media guys will have access to the team so they won't rock the boat. It doesn't matter if the team sucks. They can still get their clicks and likes and revenue. My greatest fear and I actually think that this is where the team is at. The powers that be just want a decent kid-friendly, Disney approved product that they can put on the floor to give fans something to watch. They no longer want to deal with superstars and championship expectations. They just want to be good enough to win games here and there. They have no interest in building a contender anymore. I think my fears are being realized.

I guess on the bright side, there's almost no scenario where the team is better than last year and they were only barely squeaked in last year.

With the West being the meat grinder it appears to be, finishing 10th in the East could mean being slotted 6th or 7th worst overall.

I think you guys are being a little over dramatic. wish we made a move but the moves for impact players we just don’t have the assets or the desire to severely overpay. I’m frustrated we are running it back and was hoping for a move but as of now it’s just not meant to be. Worst thing we could do is trade just to trade and make a bad deal.

I very well could be wrong but I think we will be seeing a passing of the guards to an extent this year. I say this because barring a Vooch all star contract year for Fournier I don’t think we will resign him. Fultz got more and more of the playmaking responsibility throughout the season. I think he starts out this season with even more. I think he will be the primary ball handler and playmaker. We have also added 2 exciting rookies to the fold(I’m excited at least). Instead of seeing DJ and Iwundu you see Anthony and Okeke. On paper there’s more talent on the bench then we’ve had in a long time. My hope is that Okeke and Anthony (and hopefully Bamba to a lesser extent) improve throughout the year and have earned starter minutes moving forward.

My vision for the future is that our 2021-2022 starting lineup to be: Fultz, Anthony, Okeke, JI, Vooch with Ross and Bamba on the bench. That doesn’t include prob a mid to late lotto or just outside the lotto pick and the return from a potential AG expiring trade(or AG!) To me that can be exciting as long as we do a good job developing our players this year. I’m against throwing them into the fire right away but I hope Okeke is healthy and good enough to be our starting SF by the end of the year and Anthony is also pushing for mins and has shown enough with Fultz that they can play together in the future.

There’s a lot of hopes in my comments and I’m always optimistic this time of the year but the future isn’t as doom and gloom as some of you make it sound, IMO.
