Which is disrespectful to me. Westbrook is just as injured as Wall, he's older, and I spoke when it happened that I'm bothered by how much Ted was bothered by the gang signs. It just seemed like a culture difference. Yes wall shouldn't have done it but more than half the league has somewhat of gang ties, Wall is clearly 10x more mature now, and no one has done more in the community. You just going to overlook that? He's a different person now. Anyone can see that and Ted let's one minor thing make it seem like Wall was going Antonio Brown. Ted himself made the story bigger than it would have ever been
This.
Judge a man by his actions. Wall has, and was embraced by the local community more than any other player before him, and I am including Gilbert here.
Sure, Arenas was the mainstream folk hero, but Wall connected with DC on a different level and to a different crowd that didn't necessarily show up in season ticket sales, and that wasn't targeted by the organization beyond perhaps making Wale the team ambassador.
Leonsis let his own ego and biases get in the way of making a decision for DC basketball and for its fans.
It's akin to Pollin renaming the team and shipping out Webber.
Leonsis showed his true colors.
