Kp and 8 for anf and 3 is floating around, I can't say I buy that one for a second unless it's part of bigger package involving Beal

it's only floating, IMO, because the boat was launched out of the Wizards front office, and it wasn't really a boat, it was a trial balloon to try and pump up KP's trade value

Portland's 3rd pick seem to have becomes the all-purpose dream cleaner for other team's weaker assets

That would be deflating. We'd probably be a playoff team with him (and a healthy rest of the lineup), but not contenders. KP averages 50 games per year.

The Wizards won 35 games with Beal and KP. How many do Lillard and KP win?

This is something the Blazers do if they don't really like who falls to them at 3. Maybe they still land Auser Thompson at 8?

But we unfortunately have some Wizards fans who think it might be a possibility and are taking Nate Jones' trolling of that information by saying 'Porzingis for #3 duh' as it only reinforcing it could be true.

We may be doomed to suffer through a terrible week, my friends, of unrealistic optimism from other teams' fans.

again, it might be just me paying more attention because the Blazers have a 3rd pick (and Olshey traded so many first's away so the lottery-->draft weeks didn't matter)...but I can not recall a tsunami of outright BS, misleading tweets, distractions, and lies like I've seen over the last 2 weeks

making it worse is the apparent gullibility of people who should know better....people thinking something might be credible when any use of common sense would show the lie

something else, and I guess I might have known this, But IMO, Toronto fans are completely nuts when it comes to discussing the value of their players vs other teams' players. They speak a different language up there....nonsense

Ive ha a couple of discussions with Nets' fans and they seem reasonable....but Raptor fans....whooo boy

I have been on the Raptors board and they are a passionate crew.

Yeah I don't give the rumor credibility I just mention it Here for the sake of discussion but I can't see kp garnering a whole lot based on past value

The Wizards themselves got KP for scraps, to think he’s got enough value to even jump up from 9 to 3 in this draft is laughable.

We would need Gafford too to even think about. I feel like you guys really undervalue Porzingis though. If he's healthy, which he was last season, he's arguably the best sidekick Dame has ever had.

The problem with most deals is that Simons gets treated like an afterthought and salary fill and not a player who has a lot of trade value alone. Here's a 3-way to extract that value.

Portland trades:

#3
Simons
Nurkic
Little
#23
#43

Portland receives:

#6 (Walker/Hendricks/Black)
#11 (Lively, Wallace)
#36 (Walsh)
Porzingis
WCJ

Orlando trades:

#6
#11
WCJ
Issac
Harris

Orlando receives:

#8
#23
Simons
Gafford
Nurkic

Washington trades:

#8
Porzingis
Gafford

Washington receives:

#3
#43
Issac
Harris
Little

Porzingas came up back in May in a Blazers edge article:

https://www.blazersedge.com/2023/5/17/23727753/nba-free-agency-2023-portland-trail-blazers-draymond-green-kristaps-porzingis-james-harden

I agree that Porzingas is being under-valued, BUT the only way I'd pull thr trigger on him is if the Blazers get him at a deep discount, definately NOT including the number 3.

If the Wizards move Beal, they are clearly in a rebuild mode and will likely want KPs salary off thr books.

I'd send them the secondary package based on ANT and Nurk

#3 is not part of the KP talks (those have been stalled for over 48 hrs anyway). The talks did involve #23 though. Even that is debatable since Portland could have net the asking price (some stuff would need to happen on KPs end). This is one of those "thread the needle" paths that pair a center upgrade with Miller at 3.

Dame
Sharpe
Miller
Grant (resigned for a little too much)
KP

At least that line-up has shooting and positional size.

Oh yeah, all these "THEY NEED TO GET SOME EXPERIENCED HELP TO KEEP LILLARD HAPPY LET'S TRY TO THROW THEM OUR TOXIC OVERPAID VET FOR #3 PICK" talks are really ludicrous

Unless Blazers manage to get a quality blue collar guy to fill the frontcourt void adding KP makes little sense with the current roster.
Porzingis - Grant will be the softest pair of big men in the NBA for ages.
Dame-Sharpe-Grant is an OK combo in terms of talent and firepower. We don't need more heavily priced one-dimensional offensive players that much

I think Simons has value, but we'd only be able to acquire a "decent starter" level player for him. Especially if we draft Scoot, not room for Simons.

I'd trade him for someone like John Collins. If we can get a legit PF, move Grant to SF, start Sharpe at SG, we're suddenly not a small team anymore.

I have a similar concern. It could be partly how the Wizards used KP, but he seemed to float on the perimeter and was not really a dominant factor on the boards.

I like the idea of Collins, think he could be had for less than Ant, perhaps a 3-way where Ant goes to ORL, Collins and #15 to POR, 11 and significant cap relief to Hawks- would throw in Watford or Little to Atlanta if they wish or 23 if needed(not sure on that)
