KAT is obviously talented and this team could use more shooting, just not convinced he's a winning player. Usually the dudes that fit this description are two-way stars.

I wouldn't be seeking KAT out as my long term would be Giannis at 5. But assuming Brook would be routed somewhere else for some kind of starting level gaurd I'd probably get behind it for the younger talent upgrade from Jrue. Give it a go for a year and see how it goes.

But if you have KAT and Giannis at 40 mil per year, Brook at 20ish or whatever he got, and Bobby for 11 mil to cover two spots its not gonna work. Something has to be flipped for a G
Resident Lillard truther since 2015.

KAT will be a possibility next offseason. Minny will give another season to their KAT/Rudy experinment. If they fail again, KAT should be the odd man out with Gobert holding low value for them to trade (and already having paid a ton for him).

I'm definitely keeping an eye on Towns. Using current season salaries you only need Lopez and 1-2 min contract to make $$$ work. Bucks having access to three FRPs will be crucial.

What really stinks here is Cam Payne is a no brainer add for us right now, but it's difficult to do with our roster full. I wouldn't want to cut one of the young guys, but I would assume that is what we would have to do...Or make a trade.

That's a Sexton deal that I would do and could have legs..

Bucks in Sexton
Bucks out Allen, Pat, 2024 POR SRP

Houston in Allen, Pat, 2024 POR SRP
Houston out KPJ, BRK 2024 FRP

Utah in KPJ (waive), BRK 2024 FRP
Utah out Sexton

If Utah wants a FRP for Sexton and Bucks are not willing to part with their 2029 FRP, this could be a solution. I like it for Houston too. They basically trade down 10-15 spots to turn KPJ dead money into two rotational pieces.

Holiday.........Sexton..........Payne
Beasley.........Beauchamp....Green
Middleton......Jackson........Thanasis
Giannis.........Crowder........Livingston
BroLo...........Portis...........RoLo

I think I like this better.

Man that's an unholy package for Sexton. Disaster. Probably would have to be something like that, though.

KAT would be awesome here. Our PG situation would not be awesome, however. I'd still do it, though.

But I think if we hang tight we can rob Houston. They have some young talent worth looking into.

The Sexton infatuation (ISO Shot Creation!!) just reminds me so damn much of that one offseason in the Skiles era where we went out and got Corey Maggette because the team just zeroed in on that one perceived offensive deficiency ("he gets on bas-, err I mean he gets to the line") and then just completely whiffed because we realized that's literally all he could do. There's just better, more well-rounded players available out there if we're really putting what's left of our future draft assets on the table.

Made the exact same comparison when this was first making the rounds. Parallel thinking, good times.

With the market feeling weaker for Dame with his Miami demands, I'd roll the dice there. Find a Jrue admirer and re-route assets to Portland. Broken record, I know, but I just can't imagine Dame refusing to play with a player of Giannis's caliber. It ain't South Beach, I get it, but it legit would be the best shot he's ever gotten or will ever get for a ring. A Dame/Giannis duo is the frontrunner, period. Worth it.

Did Lowe really say this? Trade one of his friends and a pick for an equivalent but more expensive role player? How the hell would this help keep Giannis. DFS isn't a big/good get.

ETA: Didn't notice the audio was linked. Yep. Just a really high opinion of DFS. Also mentioned Bojan. I don't think either of these help us at all.

Bobby/Grayson for Bogie and pick up Cam Payne. That work for anyone?

A lot of people here like to point out that Sexton isn't the most ideal player and thats fine but the alternatives seem like they're entirely improbable. I mean, Allen/Pat and a 2nd is too much for Sexton? that seems crazy to me.

I also think the idea that New York is going to part with IQ or Cleveland is going to part with Garland for the packages mentioned are total pipe deams.

It's extremely evident that individual shot creation is something this team needs in the playoffs. I've yet to see player/situation combo that we can realistically target with what we're offering that lands a better player than Sexton.

Not only are those dumb ideas by Lowe, but he seriously brought on a Lakers insider to discuss Giannis and the Bucks for a half hour? Seriously? Ramona mentioning the Lakers with Austin Reaves/Vanderbilt as an idea was especially funny.

Lost interest in Lowe’s pod a while ago and this just pushes me more in that direction.

I agree but I don't think either one is a value add over any 2 of Bobby/Grayson/Pat.

They basically brought back Crowder on the vet minimum to do exactly what DFS does for $17 million. So yeah, massive overpay and Lowe just seems like he's spit-balling and under the belief that we'd be this desperate to add another playoff body. At least I hope we're not.

Or Grayson and Pat for Norm Powell and add Payne.
