No one can guard Brunson if he's turning the corner on this foot injury.

Nesmith's numbers only looked good because he guarded him the last 2 games after the foot injury. The narrative that Nesmith was guarding him well was BS and anyone who knows Brunson could see it was just the injury making him slow and lose his first step and lift on his shot.

Bogey's a very talented shooter who has made huge shots before...but calling him a key bench guy for us feels misleading. He came up with some shots against Philly, but he's been poor for us on the whole...with his defense being just shockingly bad, despite him moving his feet way better than I ever thought an old guy like him ever would.

Aside from Nesmith? There is no one else. Sheppard is a rookie going against an All-NBA point guard, he's not ready for that matchup. The only other guy Carlisle could put on Jalen is McConnell.

TJ McConnel is the most effective. He limits Brunson to 27% FG% when being guarded by him. But instead he puts Nembhard who's giving up 67% FG% to Brunson.
