I think you are right prophet. If not them, then media guys wanting to post THE STORY before something happens. Either way, I don't think that is something a lot of fans take into account when looking at how the team is perceived. Vlade should move forward as planned. IMO keeping Karl till the offseason is a PR move for future coaching candidates. It really gets no worse than this and Vlade stuck it out with Karl to try and right the ship.

If I'm Vlade the trades I attempt to make follow the vision I have for the team post-Karl.

What is this plan you think Vlade has? We don;t know what the front office is planning to. What we know is what reporters are speculating. I agree that any trades would have to be made with the future leadership and team professionalism being taken into account.

Philly? Lakers? No it can get MUCH worse, go ask a Kings fan what it was like when you desperately needed to tank and ended up with that pride draft slot and landed a Spencer Hawes or Jason Thompson. Either be bad or don't. But being bad at being bad is the lowest of the low.

So so true man, I can't even thing about our drafting history without getting a headache. You know what I was saying tho. Basically, we have had worse PR situations in the last 2 year then we are having now.

Thinking deeper, a minority owner would likely be informed, not really on the radar, and if they dislike Vivek or something internal, well there you go.

But if it is the "same one", well that's the only segment left that makes sense I can think of. It would probably be someone who was not part of Vivek's crew though, an older investor.

This might be a bit of a long message here but I will try and break this all down .
I found out all this info from my source almost an hour ago before eating dinner & it's my first chance I am getting to share the info so here it goes .

#1 Miami Heat have not only contacted us about R.Gay they now have contacted us about Casspi I don't know the specifics as of yet about that directly .
#2 George Karl is not completely out of the woods yet but KINGS are more likely to keep him as Coach the remainder of the season . I disagree with this & think it's a mistake .
# 3 To nobody's real shock we are in talks with many teams about most all our players one way or the other . So many different directions it's all over the map .

#4 I want to concentrate on a lot of info about Cousins :

First let me say I am a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge Cousins fan He & C-Webb are my all time Sacramento Kings favorites so alot of what I write next pains me a ton & kind of saddens me .

Two weeks ago he was Untouchable . Now he is not however it will take a massive offer for anyone to still get him to be clear .
I am going to break down possibilities as best as I can

#1 We trade him before the deadline and get a ton offered to us & I mean a ton . I don't think this is the senario that will happen I think 2 or 3 is more likely .

#2 We keep him past the deadline . The Kings play great ball and close out the season making the playoffs or at least clearly showing a constant massive improvement and we continue to keep him going into next season .

# 3 We keep him past the deadline not make the playoffs , play not respectable enough & or poorly and then he gets traded this off season sometime more likely after the NBA Draft lottery order has played out possibly trading him for the #1 over all pick + a ton more .

I will also add contrary to any reports Kings have talked with Boston & Clevland most notably as well as Clippers & Heat in regards to Cousins . That is not to say that we haven't spoken with others .
I know L.James & I. Thomas as well as Riley all want CUZ very badly .

KINGS are not happy with CUZ & GAY'S NBA IQ overall .
R.Gay fouling late in a game were he didn't have to do so which made the game more out of reach . CUZ late technical in a game were we had closed the gap & had the game within reach only for the T to cost us . These are just examples of just a couple of situations of many both players have hurt us .

The trade deadline if we deal we will be looking for Higher IQ type players , more about the team type players & defense .

At this point if KARL is truly staying Cousins might be going .
If Cousins stays Karl could still be going but not likely until after the season if so . But if so & both stayed then Kings may then fire Karl after the season and still also trade CUZ .

I might end up being wrong but I expect GAY ( gone )
I could mention others but at this point the only 1 person I would be shocked if traded is WCS at this point nobody else would be a shock to me unless the trade was an idiotic one and I don't think that will be the situation .


WCS is safe almost guaranteed , Rondo likely safe but not as safe as WCS .
I personally like Quincy's hustle as well as Collison's and hope we keep them . But that's just me
