I would expect multiple titles if I'm being asked to accept not attempting to have competitive basketball for four consecutive seasons.

Multiple titles is our goal. This postseason we hope to push for the ECF and next season after that experience we plan to expand into becoming contenders. There's a even greater chance of that happening if LeBron opts to sign with us as well, but even without LeBron I think we'll have a good shot at winning the East next season if the experience pays off and we continue to develop

Brutal Embiid news. Sorry for you guys!

I appreciate the solace but I'm not concerned about the Embiid injury as of now. I fully expect him to return and be able to play in the first game of the playoffs if not earlier albeit with a protective mask on

When have we had four consecutive seasons of competitive basketball?

We haven't. Nor have we had four seasons of not trying to be competitive.

Doesn't really apply in a tanking debate though.

It’s sort of depressing seeing what Ginobli can do at 40. He’s ageless.

Bet I could out drink him though

What debate? There's no difference between sucking earnestly and sucking in purpose. One comes with better draft picks and one comes with slightly better merch sales. :dontknow: It's honestly more insulting to me as a fan that my team tries to be competitive and is nearly as bad as teams tanking on purpose, that they're that inept.

But there has not been a single season when they were tanking and we were nearly as bad.

And I'm more insulted when my team says please watch us but just fyi we are trying to lose.

PF who made 8-13 threes.

Maybe one day, Frank will be as good as Alec Peters.

Vogel gone as well, looking like we won't make a move.

The Sixers are fun to watch. Saric is really freaking good. Simmons is poised. Fultz looks ready to break out. Their role players are awesome. They put up 130 without Embiid. I wouldn't be surprised if Redick returns cheap. He looks like he's having a blast. Plus they will select Mikal Bridges. LeBron should sign there. They'll be EC champs every year, with or without.

If I'm Philly, I wouldn't even want LeBron. They have such a good thing going and he would completely change the dynamic of that team. He's not coming in and adjusting his playing style for Simmons and Embiid, it would be the other way around. It's weird to not want LeBron on your roster, but he would completely hijack that team.

If I were them, I'd go hard after Paul George. He would allow Simmons and Emiid to continue running that team and playing to their strengths while giving them a legit third star. Also holy sht would they have a ton of defensive pieces to throw at Golden State. Simmons, George, Covington, Mikal, Embiid, etc... they would be a defensive juggernaut.
