Siakam and Val worked nicely today. It is amazing that:

1- this is the first time, ever, that JV plays with the mob.
2- how much nicer his D looks with good perimeter defense.

I know this was not *his* game (G5) but again he came in the 4th when we were leading by 3 and we finished 14-7.
Maybe he can play 4th quarters after all?

I couldnt believe my eyes when jonas checked in with the bench

Casey did a very good job managing this game. Obviously having your main cog fvv back makes it look easy, but he paced the game so well. Washington could not match our pace for the full 48

That may have been my favourite lowry performance ever. He scored on a god damn baby hook over gortat where did that come from. The loose ball dive to fvv to siakam for the and 1 was special

Also lowkey cj with the 3 to put us up 4 may have been the biggest shot of the game

People have mentioned it already, but I can't remember a substitution pattern being this good.

- Recognizing that Ibaka didn't have it this game.
- the 4th q was perfect.
- running with the bench mob through 2 timeouts.
- Bringing Lowry in for Miles without DD (subbing DD later)
- bringing JV in for a tired Poetl.
- keeping Delon to finish the game.
- Putting Siakam on Wall late.

Key sub patterns for the rest of the playoffs:

- if Lowry isn't on the floor, FVV must be on it.
- Delon closing out games if going with a 3 guard lineup
- Unless Ibaka or Poetl are on fire, JV closes games.
Bonus: seeing what OG can give us as a small 4 late 4th if the others are off their game.

I was so surprised that Delon got to close it out. He's too important late in games to sit for FVV. His size/switchability, savvy help D, rebounding, driving, steals/blocks, set 3 point shooting, etc. He plugs so many holes. He wins us games down the stretch.

Our depth really made a difference this series. Reminds me of that Office parody video.

he just needs to be around guys that fit with his game as well... if you put him next to good perimeter d, suddenly his defensive flaws aren't as magnified, and he becomes a valuable fit in that unit.
