I mean, the main thing as a team is that we failed to get Durant the ball on multiple possessions after the guy destroyed the Bucks on offense late the 4th.

Lots of blame to go around. Nash should have reeled the team in and got everyone on the same page. Brown needs to know his role. This is a team loss and I predict we will see better on Sunday. Hopefully we get Green back

That first quarter hurt us also. Even though we clawed our way back into it, we would have been way ahead if did no do so poorly in the first.

Not his fault that neither KD or Kyrie could hit shots all 4th Q. And certainly not his fault Brown went haywire and took the last 2 shots.

KD got us the lead in the 4th and barely saw the ball afterwards.

Having brown in because he might get an offensive rebound vs Lopez/Giannis is the dumbest thing of all time.

and to say he has value on pick and rolls and then kill him for shooting a shot off a pick and roll is all kinds of hypocritical.
"Dumbest thing of all time"? Bruce had 11 rebounds tonight, include 3 offensive rebounds. Offensive rebounding has been a strength for Bruce all year long...

That was not a pick & roll at the end, Brown caught the ball at the top of the 3 pt line after Kyrie was trapped...

The first shot brown missed was a pick and roll from irving off action on the left wing. the second was on a broken play off a nearly turned over in bounds.

brown made the right play on both.

if you dont want him taking pick and roll floaters, dont put him in the game and run a play for him to set a pick.

Not sure how Nash is getting blamed lol. He’s outclassed Bud all series.

You have durant and Kyrie on fire.

the bucks are BEGGING for someone else to shoot a 2 pointer.

put in shooters, spread the floor, let your on fire stars go to work.

We only had one bad game and here you are. Did you expect a sweep. Be honest.

We lost on some dumb play when everyone not named KD and Brown had an off night.

We should have won this game. We had the better offensive players. I don't know why our offense was so horrendous in the last minute.

Don't be shook. The Nets played bad and yet had minimal turnovers and overcame a disastrous 1st quarter to lose by 3.

We aren't the ones who need to be worried here. If the Nets come out Sunday with their usual execution it will be a hot afternoon for the Bucks and not in a good way.

We cant count on our role guys to play well. they wont on the road. its much more likely their role guys like forbes and tucker hit wide open shots at home.

We are completely F'd

Bro, sleep on it and we'll talk tomorrow. We'll be fine. We are better than them and that's with Harden and Green out

Hello Brooklyn wrote:Why is it a big deal to have Brown in in the last minute? Hes a good screener and can hit a floater if open.

I just don't know why he didn't pass back to Kyrie or KD one of those last two shots. He didn't have a good look and hes not a scorer.

I'm pretty confident KD would have made one of those shots.

Several reasons:

1) if you dont want brown to shoot, dont put him in, ask him to screen, when its automatic they will double and force the ball to him on the roll and take their chances on a lightly contested floater

2) he is one of our better defenders and he has 5 fouls. Save him to go offense for defense in the last 30 seconds. no reason for him to be on the floor offensively in either of those spots

3) if you want to get Kyrie or KD a shot, surround them with 3 shooters.

Alize?
They weren't shooting us badly as Joe was, and they can play better defense than Joe because they're not slow af.

Joe played solid D, and he's size talk. Was huge for our rebounding game. Shamet and Mike can't guard chair on a regular day, you think they'll do better? That's laughable.
Stop it, Joe did not play solid D. He's our worst defender out there. Shamet has often played better defense, and Mike James defense in this series has been terrific. Watch what's actually going on.

Bro they send double. It was literally anyone but KD.

I'm not sure where Kyrie was. Rip that ball from Brown and make it happen, dude didn't want it at all.

Shamet bricked shots, yeah couple where after broken position at the buzzer, still guy is either hot or cold. If he's cold he won't work up by taking more and it showed throughout his career.

those 2 (and TJ) may end up being as bad as joe was offensively. All 3 will give you better defense. i can see not going with TJ, he hadnt played all game. but shamet should have gotten the nod the way joe was playing

That’s my takeaway as well.

We will get both Green and Harden back very soon. The Bucks basically fall on Middleton isolations and Giannis kick outs. The Nets are better, need to execute better offensively.

I'm obviously talking about the last play, and hell no, it wasn't the right play. There was plenty of time left on the clock and there was no need to rush, yet Brown made the bone headed decision of driving with all that space, and taking a contested left handed lay up which wasn't even close. Don't try to spin this into the "right play" ffs.

Sidenote: We really missed Jeff Green tonight.

He was always in our closing lineup playing solid defense and hitting big 3s. I trust him 1000x more than Harris to make a big shot.

This loos is 100% on nash.

Kd/Kyrie couldnt hit shots? Both were on fire down the stretch.

Not his fault brown took the last 2 shots? of course it is. Brown cant shoot from the sidelines. and if you put him in and ask him to screen for the ball handler, it is a guarantee they will trap and force the ball into his hands on the pick and roll.

and if for some idiotic reason you want to force a situaiton where he catches it on the pick and roll, but dont want him to shoot it, pull him aside and tell him unless its a wide open dunk, dont shoot.

Its not like brown was sitting in the corner, called for the ball, and chucked up a 3.

Brown knows his role. and he did exactly what his role is. set screens, flash to the circle, take those floaters. that is literally like his entire offense.

If you want him in the game, and dont want him to shoot, stick him in the corner. if he is in, and you have him set a screen on the ball, and dont expect them to double and allow him to catch on the pick and roll, you are a moron. if you want him to catch in a spot he always shoots from, but not shoot it, make that chrystal clear during the timeout.

Predictable post-game blaming of Nash when any neutral fan can see he's been the better coach this series.

But some people have had an agenda against him all year. Oh well.
