CELTICS
SamIam 2010: Truth's ability to play so incredibly efficiently is so UNDERAPPRECIATED. Bballcool 2012: Amazing how great Pierce has been for so long. Continues to defy age! KG 2013: P is original Celtic. Wherever he goes, we go. This is The Truth's house.

I'm thinking PP dropping like 26 or something like that. That would really throw off the Nets.

Look at the impact of Maxey yesterday... If all of a sudden the Cs can add another serious unexpected weapon I think we could really put the Nets on their heels right out of the gate.

We don’t need an unexpected bench guy to go off - that’s what underdogs need to eek out wins. We’re the much better team as a whole. We just need to play like we’ve been in the past 3 months and there’s no reason we don’t win this. Though I won’t complain if PP drops 26

I do, however, think White is going to be huge in the series. He should be going up against a bunch of small guards who can’t defend. Him and Smart will be going up against Kyrie, Mills, Curry, and Dragic plenty. They should both be able to easily score or play make against those guys and suffocate them on defense.

Call me a homer but I’m honestly so confident in this series and think a loss would be a HUGE unexpected disappointment. I know, I know, KD is the best in the world. KD and Kyrie will combine for 70 a game, 80
even. It’s not going to matter if we play up to our standards because we’re going to average 120+ points a game against their turnstile defense. Those guys are gonna need to play 45 minutes a game - you saw what the Cavs did as soon as KD sat. The Nets just have no good two way players other than KD and basically our entire playoff lineup is good to great two way guys. The mismatch is too great in our direction.

And yes, I’m prepared to be mocked by my take.

Welp, terrifying game.

There's a lot of unknowns and just about every expert picks this series to go 7 because of that.

We're going to find out today who has the edge between the teams in a playoff setting.

I hope it's us.

I wonder if we are naive..the entire world thinks the Nets have this series already wrapped up.

We are a bit naive but thats fine. Durand is an animal and Tatum is still nowhere that standard. The Jays can have crazy stupid nights but Dirand can do it for 7 games without breaking sweat.

Still it’s fine to be naive. We dont go around saying Cs in 4. It will be a good series

Tatum is absolutely near that standard. We will see what people are saying at the end of the series. One guy needs to rest on defense and one guy doesn’t.

I’d still pick Durand but dont get me wrong Tatum i think is the reasonable option for the medium to long term. I jst always felt like Tatum can be stopped to some extent. Durand is unguardable.

I feel like Tatum ascended to unguardable the second half of this season. That was reflected in the overall offensive numbers. Gotta prove it in the playoffs obviously but our core has always stepped up in the post season. I can’t wait to see what this year brings.
