I swear Strus could have the suckiest game ever and you'll never hear a word of negativity from Heat fans.
- Shot 33% and took 24 shots tonight. Still was the one who took the last shot in OT even though he missed like 10 straight 3s.
- Sucked at defense as always. Even got lost on the defensive play that let Kuzma wide open on that 3.
- team worst -7 tonight

Re: Fri, 11/18 HFL @ WSH 7:00 PM
jovic was gassed at the end. I have seldom seen heat players that worn out, it is what it is.
Strus looked a tad gimpy too, and i think it showed in his game.
would not shock me if A. Spo had a 30 min limit on Jovic, come hell or highwater 30 mins is all he gets or. B. He did not want to risk injury with a clearly worn out player.
On the plus side, Jovic had to control his fouls...and he flat out did against a giant of a center. He played without fouling and held is ground on several occasions.
Miami talks about position-less basketball pretty often, and they absolutely have the closest thing to a position-less player on the roster now.
Jovic really does look legit talented.
Opportunity is a funny thing. Guys that can't get on the court just had an opportunity slip by them, and guys that do play had a shot to show they can be more then just 3rd option. I love the heck out of Caleb Martin, but he missed an opportunity to be a bigger part of the offense. He looked limited. Strus had half a good game and half a bad game.

Upper management has really made a lot of mistakes. Re-signing Robinson, re-signing Herro, even the Lowry signing was questionable given his injury history. This team needs a shakeup.

I’ll give you Lowry and Robinson. Jury remains out on Herro.

We got hosed on that challenge on Robinson’s 3 ball. That was total crap.

If Jovic was undrafted, he'd be our starting power forward

He played OK overall. Everyone is rightly losing their **** because Spo buried him for the final ~ 17 minutes, but it's not like he was wrecking it out there. 18 pts & 6 rebs & 0 turnovers in 30 minutes of action, but also 0 ast & 0 stls & 0 blks and he only shot 40% FG & 33% 3pt%.
I'm sure he'll play better as he gets his stamina up and gets used to NBA action. We may have a keeper.
Our entire teams numbers from last night were ugly, but we scrapped like hell until the very end.

Max Strus - $1,815,677 ... none of it guaranteed
There's your answer. He's tied for 11th best paid player on the team. He's earning less than UD is. High expectations come with high salaries. At $1.8 mil Strus is going to be cut all the slack, especially when his overall season performance is OK, and especially when he's outperforming the guy making $17 million. Max is outperforming his salary. If everyone was, this team would be doing much much better.

For what? We were playing with 7 guys. We had to dress a player with a knee injury just field enough guys to avoid forfeiting. We were missing ALL of our top players ... plus the heart and soul of the team ... UD.

18 and 6 and a team best +6 on the night. Benching him for the final 17 minutes for *checks notes*…Orlando Robinson was some wild Spo chit.
I will say Robinson looked solid, but it would be nice to get an explanation as to why Spo froze the rook out when he was having a good night.

He wouldn't have made the team. He's not up to Heat conditioning standards.

The thing is that Caleb and Max ARE limited players. They will have a game here or there, but this is roughly what they are.

Yeah but he had a team best +6 because he sat the part of the game when the team ran out of gas and faded. That may not have held up if he had played. But you're right, there was no good excuse to sit him. I'm sure he was gassed, but he's 19. He can suck it up.
