Pretty clear he is still butt hurt over the fact that the Packers didn't think he was worth big money. He is coming across like a jealous ex-girl friend, constantly going out of his way to try and talk up his current situation even though everyone knows it's not as good as the old one.

Eh, I'm fine with his comments. They're clearly a bit disingenuous, but he's got to talk up his new team and QB. I'd expect him to. The only thing that bugs me a little bit are the very subtle shots he's taken at Rodgers over the years when comparing him to Favre. That's caused me a lose a bit of respect for him.

Reading this actually gives me a ton of respect for what TT and MM do. They hold guys accountable, they keep players in line, they demand respect and they demand guys play within the system.

He obviously has the right to voice his opinions, but yeah, it sounds a little petty right now.

I didn't care so much in the immediate aftermath of him signing in Minnesota, but he's been in the news fairly regularly this offseason. On the radio, on the NFL Network, in print...it's gotten to the point where all I think when I see another shot at Green Bay is, "What are you even doing?"

I'm sure he will shut up after we dominance him twice this year. :D

They did. They actually offered more money to Jennings than the Vikings did.

No they didn't offer him big money, they offered him middle of the pack WR money. He wanted Fitzgerald (or close to it) type money. He only went to the Vikings because he was pissed GB didn't offer more, or give him a big extension before he hit free agency.

Word was that before last season the Packers offered him an extension that was worth more than what he ended up signing for with the Vikings. He only has himself to blame for losing out on the money.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/20 ... 5-million/

The new contract Jennings agreed to with the Vikings tonight is a five-year deal worth $47.5 million, with $18 million guaranteed. That also includes a minimum value of $27 million over the first three years.
That’s a great deal for a wideout who will turn 30 in September, except for one thing.

The Packers offered him more.
As we noted Wednesday (it only seemed like two weeks ago), the Packers offered a deal worth “roughly $10 million a year,” according to Jason Wilde of ESPNWisconsin.com.

That offer was made “a while ago,” according to Wilde, or more accurately, at a time when Jennings thought he could do better.

Jennings made like what, $9 million last season? He was going to get that plus more here.

No one was going to offer Jennings a Fitzgerald contract or anything north of perhaps $55 million total.

Yeah. Seems very similar to the Cullen Jenkins situation.

Barnwell ranked the top 50 or so players in the league in terms of trade value. Matthews made the list somewhere in the 30s, Rodgers was #1.

Two other Wisconsin guys made the top four: Watt at #4 and Wilson at #2.

I think Wilson over Luck is a little nuts, but I can at least see the case. I think it validates what a lot of us saw in him from the moment he started kicking ass for the Badgers. Same with Watt. I had him as the best defensive player in his class, and I think some others here did too.

I'm probably in the minority, but I think Wilson comes back to earth a bit this year. Same with Kapernick.

Watt is probably the best defensive player in the NFL.

I don't even think there's a question. No doubt he is.

I have to wait for him to have more than one great year before I call him the best defensive player in the league. Last year was an all-timer though, that was incredible.

Not crazy to me. Wilson had the best season of the rookie QB's last year, and his salary is next to nothing.

I wouldn't rank Calvin Johnson 11. He's an incredible player, but I think his salary is too high for him to be slotted there. I'd much rather have AJ Green on his rookie deal than Megatron on the massive deal he got.

I think Simmons pointed out some of the flaws in his footnotes as well. Don't see how Stafford can be ranked so much lower than guys like Flacco and Big Ben.
