Knicks once again bid against no one and overpay. A tale as old as time.

Why even dump Lee? He played well last season, and he defends?

Spare me these offensive-oriented chuckers.

Matching the Tim Hardaway Jr. offer sheet would have Atlanta with $92M in guaranteed money including $49.3M at shooting guard.

the man who brought us the best young talent we have ever had since patrick ewing himself

back to the dark ages we go

Phil was terrible this signing doesn't mean we should've kept the idiot. He did bring in Noah on what was a more ridiculous contract then this. He did trade Lopez for Rose on what was a mind boggling deal.

Don't need people to pretend this questionable move makes Phil look like a genius or something. He was an **** that didn't fix the Knicks and didn't destroy them. He just destroyed Carmelo. And as far as young talent all he did was draft a player with the 4th pick. Congrats. Let KP prove something first. **** even Isiah drafted us an Allstar (Lee), champion (Frye) and slam dunk champion (Nate). Let's slow our horses before we jump for joy for a guy landing in our lap because we had a terrible enough team to draft 4th.

Thank you

Yeah...are you a new knicks fan or something?

Because if you arent and actually payed attention to this ridiculous franchise you'd realize that the hallmark of Dolan's reign is overpaying washed up/overrated players...aka it is something that goes beyond phil.

Phil did the best out of any previous GM in the dolan tenure...AND he was actually able to point the ship in the right direction by stocking talent, ignoring media pressure, and keeping draft picks.

The fact of the matter is that Phil got us a patrick ewing tier young talent + a solid core despite only coming in with 2 first round picks in 4 years. Dont even try to compare the trash that isiah got to what we have now.

firing the guy who was making the most progress since like 2001 is not the right course of action.

and lol @ porzingis "landing in our lap"

porzingis was passed on by the now lauded Hinkie, as well as the championship building Mitch Kupcheck. Phil pulled the trigger on Porzingis despite HEAVY fire from the media. Phil is the one who resisted dolan and the media as much as possible, and that is the reason we have porzingis, hernangomez, and ntilikina

Phil had complete control of this team from the beginning and it's still terrible. Not reading half the **** you wrote. These last 3-4 years was Phil not Dolan, and we already kno Dolan is a moron.

Melo LOVED THjr and posted a tribute to him on Instagram right after he was traded. THjr was also one of the few teammates who had the balls to get in Melo's face and call him out.

THjr is a MUCH better player now than he was his first two seasons as a Knicks. He has more grit than JR and Shump, and might have a more refined game than both guys.

Mills probably never wanted to get trade him, but Phil was probably obsessed with getting Horace Grant's nephew to run the triangle, so the trade had to be done at the time.

Hey Melo, we know that you love your banana boat crew, but they never wanted to play with you... so we got you Timmy back. Please be happy. Look it was great that Timmy told him to grab a rebound, but we were dreadful that season. I know Timmy can score, that's not a problem for us.

I won't even lie and pretend like I been following Timmy's game in Atlanta, I know he had a good half last year. However the Timmy I remember had Tunnel Vision is the same stratosphere as Melo. I know Timmy can shoot the three and all of that... he just isn't worth what we could've potentially had in terms of tanking and salary flexibility moving forward.
Jazz: Under reconstruction, we'll be back.

Raises eyebrows with that finish to the regular season but then didn't really get it done in the playoffs.

dude still has serious flaws in his game, and this overpaid deal serves no purpose

How can people be trying to justify this one?

Possibly the best trade Jackson made was sending thjr away

WTF Post of 2017:

If Phil pulled that off, I would put a put a paper bag over my head, paste a picture of Jeannie on it, poke a hole through the mouth, and give Phil the best BJ he's ever had in his entire life.[/quote]
