I doubt Donte has much value around the league but if he does we should shop him. I think LED pay a big tax bill this year but will retain the option to duck the tax the year after so I can't see an extension happening unless it's dirt cheap. And the decision afterwards isn't going to get easier unless he sucks and you let him go.

Thor looks like he has better footwork on his jumper at the combine shooting drills than his college tape showed, so that's a good development. He really does have an effortless release for a guy of his size/length and without engaging in hyperbole, it's similar to Durant's mechanics. His biggest weakness by far is that he looks to have zero touch around the basket, so unless it's a jump shot or a dunk, he's probably not gonna be much of an offensive threat. As a two-way 3&D guy though, he's got about as much physical talent/potential as anyone outside the high lottery dudes. Impossible to know how much he can improve on his decision-making and overall feel for the game, but that's pretty much the case for any 18-year old who isn't some savant-level basketball prodigy.

I think we should include the pick in a package to improve our roster.

If we keep it, so far I like Jaden Springer from Tennessee the most. Shooter, can defend, and proven at a very young age.

Feel like there's no other prospect with as wide a range of opinions in this draft. I'm not alone in having him in the top 10, yet he wasn't invited to the green room, so clearly I'm in the minority.

Such a weird athlete. Guy looks incredibly labored and awkward while running, but he takes contact in the air very well and displays excellent body control while off balance. My brain can't make sense of it.

Kind of like a defense-first Jamal Murray.

machu46 wrote:Yeah, I mean, in all likelihood, Thor will end up being a bust. He has a long ways to go even if there's a lot of promising stuff in there. Just kind of how it works with pretty raw 18 year olds.

But I promise he isn't going to the NBA this season because he thinks he's going to be a bust. In all likelihood, he just wants to get paid.

How many of us would have stayed in college if somebody offered us our dream job every summer? I don't think it's super complicated. College was fun and all but only having to worry about the game you love seems like a solid deal.

Sleighter Brogdon is what comes to mind for me. From a pure athleticism standpoint only.

I really like Jaden Springer
He is projected at #28, #27 , #18 in Mock Draft sites... I really wish we could somehow trade up 2-3 spots if he is still there.
Young Athletic SG, good size , only 18 years old and already a hard worker.

That release kinda reminds me of Antawn Jamison's - who didn't really have a 3 point shot till he came to the NBA. It'll be interesting to see who takes a chance on him.

Forget the green font?

Will Franz overlook the headbutt to his brother from last year's bubble?

I think he’s probably referring to Vrenz Bleijenbergh

This PG class seems awfully deep to me, I have to say I like a few that seem to be in our range.. Ayo, Miles McBride, Bones Hyland and Daishon Nix are all solid picks at 31.
RIP Kobe Forever. GOAT 8-24. Long Live Giannis

Vrenz is a legit 6’10 shooting PG don’t know what he can do defensively but that shoot looks nice

Reading that Madden bit about our tax bill is sobering. Wouldn’t be shocked at all to see this pick sold for cash and an imaginary future conditional pick

If they are that strapped they would just trade Donte for a future 2nd round pick. Saves 4 million right there.

I’d hope pick #31 has more value than that.
