Hunter is probably the Hawks second best defensive player behind Capela. Also, Randle had a lousy game after the one week All-Star game layoff. :-?

Yeah we need Randle to come in hot. If we win the first game I feel really good about us winning in 5 or 6.

I’m not too worried about Hunter because he’s coming off an injury, is 30 pounds lighter and hasn’t had to guard Randle all year. Randle shouldn’t have too much trouble

Nothing Trae does there is outside the realm of a normal shooting motion so fans better get used to the calls, they are here to stay.

The reason national commentators praise him is because they are former NBA players who recognize the amount of skill, IQ and court awareness it takes to pull that off as consistently as Trae does.

Who let the Hawks fan in?

just here for some friendly trash talking about the series, nothing more. Your board is obviously a lot more active than ours. I'm enjoying the back and forth. Would you rather just post into an echo chamber?

something doesn't add up...if anything I would expect Thibs rotations to get even tighter in the playoffs.

We know RJ/Rose/Bullock/Burks will have huge roles in the backcourt. Randle will play nearly all the minutes at the 4 (with a few minutes spelled from Obi). Then Noel and Taj split the 5. IQ will also have a role.

...and if he starts Payton then Frank has no role (outside of just coming in for defense for last second possessions, but a role in the rotation is different then situational). I think Berman was just speculating but I have to guess Payton is getting dropped from the rotation if Frank is under consideration to play.

as long as Frank hits the 3 i don’t mind him getting minutes. when he plays with no confidence he’s hard to watch

Yes, your talk is trash, at least you are self aware enough to recognize this about yourself.... that's what you meant, right?
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

it’s on very low volume. it’s pretty meaningless. his FG% for the season is also 36% and he shoots 44% from the line which is pretty atrocious. he still passes up open shots and has been shooting airballs lately. there’s a reason why Thibs doesn’t trust him. if Thibs plays him he has to be ready. no more excuses for him. it’s playoff time, not his rookie year anymore.

No matter what the plan is, I would expect Thibs would stick up for Elfrid so I am not sure if that tips our hand either way. But I also would be surprised if he changes the lineup for game 1, besides maybe tighten up the rotation.

Just my guess, but I think Thibs gives Payton the first crack but if things go badly he may switch it up even quicker or make adjustments in future games or even halftime.
