Get Kyrie we get the scorer that we need and we also give up minimal to get him. Yes he’s a head case but is it worth the gamble?

Get KD we lose our primary bench scorer and one of the best defenders in the league and are stuck with undrafted players w shell of a self Lowry, jimmy and KD which is obviously a major threat. But is it enough for a championship? We seen how Kyrie and KD operate; can jimmy and KD work better?

Get Kyrie, the cost doesn’t outweigh the potential reward.

We also saw how KD FOLDED against the Celtics don’t forget that, ignoring the talents he has and how this team would look if we sacrificed all of that for him.

That team was trash though. Bombed and depleted. Looked like Harlem in the 80s

And Nash as coach? Lol!

Whatever it takes to get Jimmy a title with the Heat. It’s sweeter if we do it with the players that we’ve grown attached to, but it is what it is.

I don’t know if I’ve ever wanted to see a player win a championship with us more than I do Jimmy and I’m
A die hard Wade fan who will argue he’s top 15 all time until I’m blue in the face lol. We HAVE to get Jimmy a ring

Nets are gonna have to eventually take what they can get or just get nothing at all.

Lowry/Vincent/
Herro/Strus/Dipo/Robinson
Jimmy/Martin
Tucker/Highsmith/Jovic
Bam/Yurt

Looking at our depth chart - it makes sense to use the SG logjam to upgrade our weakest positions - PG and PF.

So maybe something around Dipo + Strus for John Collins?
Or Herro + Duncan for Fred VanVleet?

I agree it Feels like we need to balance our positions, but going after the first big name ignoring the cultural fit is short sighted.

Butler couldn't win a game against the Bucks. Sometimes a team matchup is too good.

At the least, Lakers can give em a huge, expiring Westbrook to flip.

All signs point to LA for Kyrie, apparently.

Exactly. Im just saying, sometimes things fluctuate based on team performance. Nets were done. You are actually strengthening my point.

Sign and trade

The point is, there are options.

Some options will become available during the season (Beal and Mitchell might demand out once their teams start to fall).

Kyrie is a desperation move, but we shouldn't feel desperate.
