Charlotte trades: Bridges/Nurkic/#6 pick
Philly trades: PG/#2 pick

Philly gets off Podcast P and still keep their lottery pick just swapping spots with Charlotte. They also get a better player with Miles Bridges and a expiring contract of Nurkic. This is the only way I think someone will take on that PG contract.

Do we have a deal?

Hell no. I still like PG better than Bridges when not injured and he’s not a horrible human being.
always a jump shot away.

No way we're trading away #1 or #2. Not trading away Flagg or Harper.

Maybe if we get #3 or later.

Nope. I’ll take LaMelo/G. Williams for #3/PG though :)

If we get Flagg with the #1 pick I might consider this.

McCain
Miller
Bridges
Flagg
Embiid

Might low-key be a contender

Not the worst, but I'm really not a fan of Bridges. Nurkic doesn't do anything for me. Value wise, I'd rather just have a future first round pick from Charlotte. Nurkic, Grant Williams, and Josh Green + 6th + 2026 1st would be more alluring tbh.

That would work.

I just thought you would still want to contend with Embiid so I added Bridges who gives you PG production and quite honestly he's a better player at this stage of their careers.

We don't know what Embiid is for the foreseeable future. So I'd rather put multiple top 10 picks around Maxey and McCain over the next 3 years than pray for a breakthrough in the meniscus restoration medical space.

Adding McCain is an overpay here IMO.

If Embiid is healthy, sure, but when does that happen? Be fine rolling with LaMelo/Maxey/Grimes in the backcourt. I have a feeling LaMelo gets in the 65 GP range on a team that gives a ****.

Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely pro-LaMelo, but I think he's so unproven relative to Embiid and has a long resume of injuries as well.

the idea is that Charlotte is such a poorly ran franchise that LaMelo would thrive out of there

which would also probably mean we shouldn't be that team lol

Yea that's the tricky thing. For him to reach his upside, he would probably be best off in a strong, winning culture (GSW, MIA, BOS). I'm not sure this current Sixer team is the place for him to "get it together."

I wouldn't trade McCain for LaMelo straight up. LaMelo scored 25 points last night (very cool!) on 6/21 FG (extremely bad!). You think that guy is going to fall in line as a 2nd or 3rd option on a team? He's been below 35% for 2 months.

I just don't get the allure.

Agree McCain isn't going out for LaMelo. The best asset on offer would be the #3 overall pick if we're not in love with the prospects available at that spot.

These idiots couldn't do this 4 weeks ago? Would have had a good shot at top 3.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
