but not for trading away all our picks for a team that isn't a contender and has no money under the apron to even add any more pieces ? that's fine

Nobody will seriously say he didn’t put together a very talented starting five. You simply need to start somewhere, then go from there and water the plants instead of expecting perfection from scratch. There was a moment where we had picks and an expiring contract. This was the player we needed on a contract we could manage. You can keep complaining about the picks all you want, but there is a price to be paid for a player of that skill level and on a contract so small that he could actually be added to this collection of players. It was certainly a high price, but opportunity presented itself, and this is still a top 5 roster already.

In other news, Josh Hart didn’t win the Hustle Award or whatever it’s called.

Cj McCollum is a villain.

Google says it's an incredibly rare form of Tourette syndrome. No known treatments have been discovered yet.

Main symptom: in any conversation, randomly blurting out a player's name with no rhyme or reason when that player has been completely off the radar for months.

p.s. leon's plan all along was to trade for a superstar. but waiting 1 more year is somehow preposterous.

Blowing the wad for Bridges was a maniac move.
If we didn't get taken over the knee in that deal, people would have been treating the KAT trade like the Luka one. We traded an all-star, age 30, limited defense, known for meltdowns and a 1-hit-wonder (Donte was a nomad before he got here) and like 2 real picks for a top 10 if not top 5 player in the league.

We did okay.

Giannis is awesome, but in NY he would get 0 calls and his lack of ability to score from any sort of range would be a migraine.

Being forced to watch BOS vs ORL & OKC vs MEM instead of IND vs MIL & CLE vs MIA consecutively isn’t a coincidence.

KAT was more like a top 30 player during the trade. He was coming off a bad wcf series.

c'mon fellas

This team needs some moves around the edges, Josh Hart being replaced by a big that can shoot, or a big wing that can guard would change things heavily. It's not an argument against him, it's an argument that you need a lot more assets than we had to fit his game. The Bucks have him and Lillard, and they're still ass.

The NBA right now is about depth, not simply just we got more stars than you. We're in year 1, we don't have the depth yet (or coaching).

We have a great core in KAT, OG and Brunson.

Keep refining the roster, upgrade the coach. Just keep building around those 3 excellent players.

We mostly need more athletic defense with size, preferably guys with some offensive bag.

I can't imagine one playoff series outweighing an entire body of work and obvious skillset.
Also, KAT played REALLY good defense against Jokic when it mattered the most.

Porzingis has been awful in this series. Boston looking like they might drop one in Orlando

i don't agree but even if that was true, you're not winning anything with him as your best player either.

That's not was I was suggesting but the fact I got a serious reply from you and not even a cynical one shows how you fell for my trick. Has shammy entered his Olajuwon Raptors era?
