We shouldn't even bother with porter. At least with KCP and Ingles there's a real chance to steal them.

Redick is gone. I've actually warmed up a bit on the idea of Ingles. Wouldn't hate it. Maxing KCP would be a mistake though

Not hard to see why JJ chose the Sixers.
Its gonna be way more fun to play with them than our young core.
I fear that we are going to be forced into overpaying KCP. My worst nightmares are coming true.

Damn. I think there's a good chance we actually topped the Sixers' offer but he wasn't fine with coming off the bench. There's plenty of playing time for him in Philly.

Its all good I didnt really want Redick anyway.
Now we should go after Gallo, James Johnson and McLemore and if they sign somewhere else then we should go after KCP since Detroit cant match his max without moving salary and it seems like Washington is guaranteed to match any offer for Porter (as they should).

We need big more than anything. I am liking what Marks is doing he is not giving out crazy offers to old role players.

I don't think GMs are petty like I am but I'd avoid making any deals with Boston until we don't owe them any picks. No reason to help them out with anything even if the old trade is a sunk cost.

Agreed. Thought signing Amir would be a good idea, but not in a sign and trade deal. What exactly would they be expecting as a return anyway?

We weren't able to offer him a solidified starting role and the lengthy years he wanted. Philly offers a starting role compared to Minnesota, Houston and us with more money. Not too surprised there.
I have a feeling we're more than likely going to offer something to Ingles soon.

Reddick deal leaves Sixers with about $11 mill in cap space. So less likely to be factor with other Nets FA targets

Redick got WAY more in the one-year deal than his $6.75M/yr last contract. Good for him and his family.

Re: 2017 Nets Offseason Thread II
If Ingles gets signed, most likely Levert moves to bench and Ingles starts at PF only against certain matchups (IE weak skinny PFs).
Next question is, what kind of contract will it take to sign Ingles and also whether ingles at say 16-18 mil is worth more than Porter at 24-25 mil a year. Contract length will be the same of course.
Its hard, if only Ingles had a coupla more inches or 10-15 more pounds, he just doesnt have the stature to be banging against true PFs, much like how RHJ has issues with big PFs.
Ingles can sure stretch the floor and has more utility than JJ at least. Ingles is a good Plan C option in my mind (Plan A Milsap haha Plan B Gallinari Plan C Ingles), but if he can stick at PF, he's a great option.

Re: 2017 Nets Offseason Thread II
Please just sign McLemore instead of throwing an obscene amount of money on KCP.
As for bigs, we could offer something to Nene as a vet coming off the bench. His contract with Houston was not valid.
