Rebuilding takes time. They gave away tons of picks. They have to double the bet and compete while they can.

UPDATE:

Mitchell Robinson has left the Buzzardman agency and is returning to work with mine for a second go-around as of this morning.

Knicks All Rumor Team. When are we benching Mitch and signing Taj already? Or do we just trade Mitch for Drummond again?

Allan Hahn on KFTV the other day said he thinks DSJ will be the opening night starter so that we can "gas him up" both in terms of his personal confidence and his trade value around the league. I'm pro-anything that's not Elfrid Payton.

Harden is a top 5-10 NBA talent and will likely remain a top 5-10 NBA talent for the next 3-4 seasons. If you can get a player of his caliber without having to sell the farm, you do it and then build around him.

I guess it mostly depends on the picks going out. But I am still not excited about getting Harden and his playstyle. Our team is still a ways away from contention even with him. And I'd just rather us not trying to go for the quick fix once again and limit the timeline for our team - only to rinse and repeat in 3-4 years.

That's not a very good team, we're nowhere near competing and Harden + a bunch of young players and Noel would lead to him leaving ASAP.

Also, the Sixers offering Ben Simmons beats anything we can come up with.

If houston lost our mind and gave us that deal, it would only make us relevant for a year before harden started bitching again and we'd either have to trade him or mortgage or whole team in an attempt to make him happy which wouldnt work.
