Have had on Bulls/Raptors for 5 minutes and it has been pure comedy.

Re: Around the League
Somehow with multiple tries to finish it at the free throw line, Derozan pushes this game, that the Raptors should have won going away, into OT. Just unreal futility being shown by both teams right now.

Caruso needs to be a Buck. I’d trade Bobby for him in a second.

Re: Around the League
if there's one thing i learned from watching Boston/Miami it's that i really wish we had one more vet player that is really smart and makes winning plays. neither of those teams has a Beasley on the floor. I'd like to see us fix that by the time the playoffs come around even if we do just use Beasley for easy 3 ball looks for the majority of the regular season.

Jae
Mids
Giannis
Brook?
And then if not Brook, we have Pat who has a track record of making the correct play, or one of AJJ or Marjon (fingers crossed)

Right. There's a position missing from the players you listed. It's SG. As much as i like Pat, i dont want him to start at or be our primary SG. He's a bench guy. Marjon could maybe fill that role but, unless he proves me wrong this season, he gives up a lot in the shooting department.

Re: Around the League
I understand they have a few NBA guys at his spot but Anthony Black picking up basically CD-DNP's even this early is weird.

Is it? A guard who can't shoot, one who averaged 3.5 ppg in the preseason, absolutely must play now?
I like his potential, but he was always going to require patience. His development can happen at practice.

Yes, a 30 win team CD-DNPing their recent top 10 pick is not the norm.

That 34 win team had a winning record over their last 57 games, so it makes sense that they are trying to win this year. They'll be a playoff team.
Are you saying that they should play Black irregardless of his readiness? Or are you saying they made a bad pick?

Are you then making another deal for a backup center?
Myself, I'd much rather play Marjon and Bobby than Caruso and RoLo.

Well to me it’s pretty clear it shouldn’t be for Bobby, Pat’s the guy. Caruso solves the issue of our starting lineup having a potential screw up guy like Beasley.
Agree that dealing Bobby for him is short-sighted, of the two Bobby should be the bigger no-no to include in the trade. Similar caliber player to Pat, position where he’s a main backup, and legend status greater than Pat imo.

Re: Around the League
Unfortunately the way Caruso is playing now, we’d probably have to give up a pick as well.

I normally don't care too much about announcers but my god there are local broadcasters that call games more evenly and unbiased than she does on a national telecast for the Celtics.

I'm prob in the minority but I don't mind Doris. She's not a great play by play person and shouldn't be doing Celts game. But as a colour commentator I always enjoyed what she brought.

I liked Doris about 6 years ago. Thought she was fair and spoke smart about basketball. I feel she's been crashing into the ocean ever since.Plossum wrote:I'm prob in the minority but I don't mind Doris. She's not a great play by play person and shouldn't be doing Celts game.
