JJ Redick is better than Tobias Harris.

Khris Middleton - Beating up on Trash Can Teams since 1943. Invisible Man status otherwise.

He's an RFA. Someone is going to 4/$68 max him out and Orlando will match, despite Steve Kyler's opinions to the contrary that he's not worth a "max" and despite the NYC media seeing him as a bookend for Melo.

kohl was riding hammonds *** on making these kinds of deals to reach the 8th seed... come on now the guy took a chance on giannis and that might go down as our best pick in that situation ever! lets see what he can do under new managment first before we right him off. and no way we could afford a max contract for tobias with giannis and jabari do in a couple years anyway.. plus i wouldnt wanna pay tobias anything like that

Shame about Kohl forcing Hammond's hand. A Giannis, Harris, Sanders core would make him look like a late-lotto genius. But with Harris last year, we probably don't have Parker.

The Bucks have Parker, Giannis and even Khris, all who have the potential to at least be good NBA starters at the 3 spot in the future. Why still cry about Harris? If the Bucks had him on this roster, it'd just be even more of a minutes/touches log-jam. There's only one ball and so many minutes to go around.
It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.

I don't think people care that much anymore to be honest. However it's a shining example of what we had to live with for years as Bucks fans and how shortsighted the old management and Kohl was. Sure the thread could be locked up but I like it staying open. It is a good reminder of how not to build a team for the future. Imagine if the Bucks traded Giannis right now for Pau Gasol or something. That a move the old regime would have done if it was available.

The only reason I still post here is because I feel Hammond has one more trade similar to this one in him. I'm afraid

Haha I used to watch that show as a kid!

So freaky.

As for the Harris thing, look the trade up. Any time you trade one of the youngest players in the NBA for a rental of a vet, you make a 200 page thread. When said youngest player turns out to be good, 300 pages. This thread is a pyre to all that was wrong in this organisation, and for hope in the future.

Yeah, I understand it was bad at the time, but with the assets the Bucks have now, I think people can get over it.

Gotta be a two way player to get the max, I think.

Michael Redd says hello.

Serious note-----way too many teams this summer with cap space and knowledge that the cap will go up massively in two years. There will be teams that don't even necessarily want to max Tobias that will do it under the justification to make min. salary.

Mate, you can't be a Bucks fan (and I mean no offence).

We've had to put up with years of a rubbish product. This thread won't go till Hammond and all that was wrong with the old way does. Owner, coach - just waiting for GM.

Hammond & Morway are still on board. It remains un-certain who drove the boat on the deal, Hammond or Kohl & Kronies. In any case, Hammond executed the deal.

And yes, every good GM pooches a deal at some point; but you don't get do-overs. This one was bad before it was completed, and it was one of a series of questionable deals. Can Hammond find redemption: probably. The Knight/Middleton for Jennings deal worked in the Bucks favor. However, no backsliding allowed....

Without a doubt it was Kohl.

I hate to break it to you but it wasn't Kohl. Hammond had a hard on for Jennings/Ellis/Smith/Sanders. He got owned at the deadline plain and simple. And I like Hammond.
