How many pages of Amare threads were there last year? I'm just assuming this passes it by a page or two.
To quote GetSeven
With Jimmy at the 2 spot this lineup (along with depth) has the potential to be the best since the Jordan/Pippen days easy.

We had nine Amar'e threads and one of them reached 151 pages.

So.

A minimum of 951 pages. 14 posts per page = 13,314 posts.

The belief about Amare coming here was way stronger than the belief about LeBron right now.

The funny thing is there is more smoke flying about LeBron than there ever was Amare. It's amazing what one purported 'insider' can stir up.

Though he probably stays a Cavalier, how many oppurtunitys like Chicago will come along in his career. Right now they have enough cap space to sign LeBron James, they have a talented group of players, but what the Bulls organization has to do is prove how badly they want him and what other moves they plan on making. He potentially could have some interest in signing and joining the Bulls but that is the most important thing of all. The Cavs fans want him to stay in Cleveland, the Bulls offer a legit shot at making it to the ECF and perhaps the NBA finals if he signs on.

I just saw the Scoop Jackson thing on ESPN. I'm not a big fan of his and I think he's usually full of it. However, this is like the 4th or 5th rumour coming out about the possibility of Lebron to Chicago. I don't want ot get my hopes to high, but where there's smoke...

Even with all we've heard about LeBron being interested in the Bulls over the past few days I still see it as very unlikely. I will admit that the Bulls' roster would be a great fit for LeBron, that is certainly true.

Still...

LeBron is an absolute attention wh__e. I believe that even if he has every intention of resigning in Cleveland he would still go out of his way to make people believe that him leaving is possible, if not likely. I think James enjoys the idea of the entire state of Ohio being on pins and needles, praying that he'll agree to continue to bless them with his presence. I also think he enjoys seeing other team's fanbases clamoring at the thought of seeing James join their team.

I'm keeping my expectations very low in regards to James suiting up for us next season.

bulls make too much sense for lebron imo, much more than miami. Wade is old and he'll be washed up soon. honestly in 3-4 years i'd take Rose over Wade any day. Wade's legs won't be the same and with declining athleticism i'd much rather have Rose entering his peak than an old Wade. Then combine that with Noah and Deng and i'd easily take our roster over miami.

to be honest unless miami is able to trade beasley (headcase and completely overrated prospect.... look how bad he was in this year playoffs) for a THIRD max fa they have no chance. even if lbj went there they wouldn't win a title

I'll summarize this thread for everyone:

Bulls fans think they have the best chance of getting Lebron
NYK fans think they have the best chance of getting Lebron
NJN fans think they have the best chance of getting Lebron
Mia fans think they have the best chance of getting Lebron
The media and rumors are conflicted as to who they think will get Lebron
Delonte West slept with Lebron's mom

My belief about LBJ is much stronger than it ever was about Amare or Gasol or Kobe for the simple reason that free agent signings happen far more easily than trades.

Because players can talk, the thing that works out the best for us, and not even for Miami OR NY is that Luol Deng does have some value.

Since we can sign one max out right, we can still bring in a very good player once we move Deng, who I believe shouldn't be too hard to move.

If we can move Deng and have the ability to bring in Boozer or Lee that would be huge for us, and our chances at a title NEXT year.

Ah but that's the time you'll earn your big bucks, between fans of his destination rubbing it in, and 200 new threads on why this proves our organization sucks within 15 min of the news we missed out on him...you'll be a busy guy. Might want to take some time off during the signing period.

I'm sorry. I want to respond, but I'm too busy laughing at the notion of moderators getting paid ;)

Luckily, I have the summer off. So I'll be around a lot.

Last year when Gordon was signed by Detroit, we had two pages of new threads in a span of about 40 minutes.

With this being LeBron.. I reckon six pages in 10 minutes will be more likely. If he's signed by us, I think RGM might just shut down for a few hours.

I'll stay out of it this year.

Marc Berman of the New York Post writes that the Knicks could help lure LeBron James to town by giving one of his former high school teammate's a spot on their summer league roster.

My initial thought was they were pathetic for doing it, but then I realized the guy is probably better than half the clowns on that roster.

if i had to guess, this is what happens on july 1...no movement until lebron decides

lebron takes 4 trips: chicago, ny, mia, nj

after a long debate, lebron chooses chi

chi then goes after bosh but is complicated by the fact that tor doesnt want deng

chi then signs ray allen with left over cash

hou then makes a strong push for bosh along with mia

mia doesnt want to wait for bosh or deal with BC and sign amare, wade and johnson outright

tor deals bosh to hou

ny signs boozer and gay max deals
