Things really haven't changed at all.

How is this on the players?? This is on the GM's for overspending again while they still can..

That said, I'm not mad at the Asik contract, especially when you look at advanced metrics....Hibbert's contract is more inexcusable

It's not the players, it's the CBA that allows it and forces GMs to make bad decisions to remain relevant as a team.

Not really...GM's arent forced to do anything. You can make smart fiscal decisions, now whether teams choose to do it is a whole other discussion.

The problem is that in order to keep your decent players you're going to have to overpay. the payscale is tipping towards the top as a whole, really. I don't think this is a discussion worth continuing because we did it for months on this forum.

Bothersome how people can hope and pray for a player to get injured and/or become a bust.

According to John Hollinger, it is possible for the Rockets to trade Kevin Martin, Kyle Lowry + their last 6 #1 picks!
Thats:
Kevin Martin, Kyle Lowry,Patrick Patterson, Marcus Morris, Donatas Motiejunas, Jeremy Lamb, Terrence Jones, and Royce White

for Dwight Howard.

and still have a team of Goran Dragic, Courtney Lee, Chandler Parsons, Luis Scola and Dwight Howard with Omar Asik, Glen Davis and Jason Richardson backing them up.

Wouldn't you do that if you were Orlando?

Joe Johnson's insane contract might be going to Brooklyn.

This is it. Rashard Lewis and Joe Johnson's contracts could both be move this year. The world is ending in 2012.

The deal is really, really smart for the Hawks. Did they get a new GM or something?

Danny Ferry.

Ferry did a pretty decent job in Cleveland. He should do well in Atlanta. That team could be great but ownership doesn't really care.

Looking at this trade, looks like both.

However, I'm still not too confident in the Hawks. Ownership will find a way to **** this up somehow, probably by offering a max to someone next year.

It has to be Harris with the money that he is making but that may stunt Teague's growth, the whole move was puzzling to me.

Just passing through but money means squat ESP for an expiring PG. Look for him to be moved again at deadline and Teague to start if not shipped out with Horford for the big prima donna.

See ya'll!

Williams (maybe) Tyshawn Taylor
JJ, Brooks.
Crash, Green.
? (Hump??)
JLO

I've heard a rumour that Williams will be able to get Kidd to come over. I didn't know they were bum chums.
They should consider Brick McGuire, his hustle will be handy when Crash is off the court.

Edit: Forgot their rookie.
