Reportedly Emeka Okafor will wait until mid-season to sign. If we could get him and move Bosh to PF & trade Cole & Dawkins to NYC for Hardaway Jr, we could have something like this:
PG: Shabazz Napier
G: Dwayne Wade, Mario Chalmers
SG: Hardaway Jr
GF: Luol Deng, James Ennis, Danny Granger
SF: Shawne Williams
PF: Josh McRoberts (inj)
FC: Chris Bosh, Udonis Haslem, Chris Andersen
C: Emeka Okafor, Justin Hamilton, Hassan Whiteside
A rotation like:
Chalmers, Wade, Deng, Bosh, Okafor
Napier, Hardaway Jr, Ennis/Granger, Williams/Haslem, Andersen/Hamilton/Whiteside
(McRoberts out)

I wish this team would stop with the old people movement and let the youngins try out there
Who knows this could be 2004 like, except Napier being in the Wade role. One can dream lol.
Also this team has no swag, one of the things that actually annoys me. Just no identity
See look it could be the same storyline lmao

Well before the McBob news I reckon we were about where we thought we'd be.
Pre-season I thought 4 - 7 but we haven't had the rub of the green with injuries so 6-8 is about right.
If everything clicked for the playoffs I can still see the potential for the Heat. The only team I wouldn't want to face would be the Bulls.
Deng is a great player and can hold his own defending ANY SF (or opponents top player). Bosh has matured well into the no.1 guy.
Wade is playing.
McBob looked like a good passer and 3pter.
Williams, Napier, Hamilton, Cole, Chalmers have all done better than expected.
Really only Bird and UD have been a little below expectations.
What we need and have needed for a long time is a big who defends the basket and can get rebounds.

Dawkins and Ennis - despite a few good plays - have also been pretty ho-hum.

Personally I think Ennis has done pretty well. Some posters came into the season with very unrealistic expectations for him. He's a second round pick not good enough for the league last season who played in Aus. I reckon he's done more than we could've hoped for. Sure he's inconsistent but he's only going to get better.
Dawkins? Did we even have expectations for him?
I forgot Granger who hasn't really done anything yet so is probably below expectations but he has shown signs of life in the last couple of games. I can see him knocking down 3s and possibly replacing Williams in the roster as he shows more of a rounded game.

I'm happy with 7 or 8 seed if we go into the post season healthy and understanding each other's games.
As I said, only Chicago really worry me. That might change of course, Atlanta are playing really well at the moment, Washington are looking good and Cleveland have a good team. Having said that I still fancy upsetting Cleveland, Toronto and hopefully Washington and Atlanta when the games really matter.

I think Emeka is about the only thing that could really save our season and help us above 6th seed. That, or Whiteside suddenly becoming good.
*fingers crossed*

What's the news on Okafor?
Is he fit? Training?
If he could come and play anywhere near his previous level he'd be a great catch but if he is simply an Eddie type getting in shape then is there any point?

That's what I'm wondering. We're not on that guy's list lmao some desperate wishful thinking going on here.

I'm not sure how to feel about some of y'all looking at Tim Hardaway Jr. That dude is baaaad. He's a streaky shooter that doesn't pass, rebound, or play defense. If we got him while we still run this system, opposing guards will have career nights on a regular basis.

Well, some posters think that Williams and Cole have done better than expected, Deng is a GREAT player, and Bosh is a superstar capable of carrying a team on his back.
Why wouldn't he want to join this team?
I don't see any of that, but that's just my opinion.

If we don't take advantage of potential contender market interest in Deng, Bird, Cole or perhaps even Shawne Williams or Granger, we are dumb. IF we get a handful of second round picks out of that, maybe a late first somewhere, we end up ahead. We likly won't get AD or KD in 2016, but our space will enable us to sign players under contract and having chips will be needed. We have nothing in the cupboard to trade.

WTF. Do not want GF rotation of Luol Deng, James Ennis, and Danny Granger
My ideal GF rotation

And don't even get me started on Shawne Williams as SF. He doesn't possess enough basketball skills to play SF. He is truly a positionless player who doesn't belong on the court most of the time.

Now that rotation of femme fatales would make watching the game more interesting for sure. Sign me up.

Some people on this board are too caught up on the players, but what we really need to focus on is the new Heat dancers IMHO. There are some gems this year that are severely overlooked by our team's horrendously **** play.
