Gotta wrangle the cows and break up enemy meth labs before the sun goes down.

Sounds like it might be a game where you're taking on a religious cult as a cop. Proper reveal is this Friday.

That little church reminded me of True Detective almost. Looks interesting.

I've never played a Far Cry game, but I'm seriously fascinated by this.

Also helps that one of my good friends was born and raised in Montana.

This is the least surprising game news I've heard in awhile. I always assumed it wouldn't be coming out until next spring at the earliest. No matter to me; I will patiently wait for that game.

I was hoping it was more of an open beta, but it looks like it's hour long sessions at various times. Still I don't have any family in town this weekend and I have the apartment and house to myself so I can get a few in.

Rant Alert...

I finally broke and ordered an Xbox One for myself. Got tired of PC gaming on my largely POS laptop, and since I've moved away from home, it will do wonders for letting me play with my brother and friends, plus I'm comfortable with Xbox having previously owned a 360.

Ordered a console and NBA 2K17 from Amazon, both arrived today, and my God has it been a horrific pain. My WiFi is spotty, so you can imagine the sinking feeling I got trying to do the "startup" download of ~4 gigs having to reconnect to a router every 35 seconds. Get 50% of the way through the download in two hours, and all of a sudden the thing resets and I'm back at 0% progress.

Instead of going through the BS of that again, I downloaded the files through my PC and just used a USB. After another hour or so, we're set and I'm at the home screen. Figure I'll just sit down, pop in 2K17, and then off I go to relieve the stress of the night.

Nope, turns out that you've got to install the game from the CD onto the console (???). Then, of course, the CD is deemed too dirty or scratched to be read, though it appears to be in damn near perfect state.

I'm just burned out after spending an entire evening with this BS. If I had to get CDs in order to install the damn game, why the hell did I even get a console? Christ on a cross, what a pain.

I'm guessing these were all complaints everyone has had since the Xbone came out, but I'm just shocked at how clunky it all seems.

Rant is over, and it looks like the "installation" is done.

Jesus.

I'm going to wait for more, but this might be the first Far Cry game I play.

I'm kind of digging it for topical themes, but I'm a little concerned about whether or not the actual gameplay will push past what Far Cry 3 established. The last two games have largely been rehashes.

In other news, while a port, I'm pretty hyped about Monster Hunter coming to the Switch. If they do any work on it to improve the graphics, it'll sell like hot cakes.

Honestly looks like it would be better as a side-quest in a bigger game - like GTA - than a standalone story.

This is not an XBOX issue same thing would happen with PS4. The discs need to install just like a disc would need to install on a PC so not really sure waht your complaint is? As far as the set up its more your internet connection then anything unless you got a bad unit.

Yeah that's what I thought, like a DLC.
