What did Smart turn down preseason? Was it like 60/4 or 5 something like that?

Who do you even want from them lol? Love? Aside from him they have nobody. I’d take a flyer on TT on a one year deal but you gotta take him for two, no thanks.

Getting players from Cleveland is like getting beaten up and bloodied soldiers coming off the front lines, no thanks. LeBron sucked the life out of everyone on that squad

I figured most of them were underused because everything was about Lebron there. Lance or Hill could be had for cheap and would be good for the 2nd unit

We won’t even take a game from GSW without Smart causing mayhem off the bench. When we were healthy this year, sans Hayward, Stevens was clinical with his use of Smart. They turned the tide of multiple games we found ourselves trailing.

Irving / Rozier / Brown can’t check Steph / Klay, and would be unthinkably lucky to offset that discrepancy on the offensive side. If we can’t bring Smart in to at least keep ONE of these guys quiet, I don’t love our chances.

No one will ever convince me that we are a better side without Marcus in some capacity, just needs to be at the right price. If he took 8mil per I’d sign him for a decade.

Can he stop KD? If he can’t he is not that useful if he can he deserves Bruce Bowen kind of money. He can’t ask for more than 10 millions in a stacked team and that’s because Boston owns his rights, otherwise he can’t get nothing better than the MLE until he decides to get a bigger contract for a **** team.

No one can stop KD, but that responsibility lands far more on Brown, Tatum, Morris, Semi and Horford - than Smart. If we’re talking about going into the Bay, with our guard lineup consisting of Irving, Rozier and Wanamaker - with Brown starting at 2 - GSW’s guards won’t even break a sweat trying to score.

Call me crazy but I think our short term window (ie next 2 seasons vs GSW) is getting more airflow if Smart is a Celtic.

Curry and Klay are not the ones to stop, that guy is KD, Curry and Klay have been stopped from Cleveland, KD is the real game changer, we would have been better off with Ariza instead of Smart, he is our kid but not exactly “reliable”. Obviously nobody can’t stop KD and nobody couldn’t stop Kobe but Bowen was the best bet.

True. Korver is a pretty solid value, his defense was surprisingly great vs Jaylen. I feel like TT may bounce back his contract year, but I’d never give the guy big money again. Rodney Hood is a scared little b.

SAC is the only one dumb enough to potentially make an offer big enough we won't match.

I don't know if they got that far but I thought it was very similar to what KO got in MIami 4/50 something in the neighborhood of 10.5-11mil per season but I can find anything about it now it may have been a tweet from a reporter.

The whole team is a dumpster fire but not good enough for a proper top 5 tank

They do have the architect behind the IT-Rose-Wade-Korver-Green lineup...

That roster has no hope everyone the wrong age veteran guys are on the back nine and the young guys are at the end of development curve and should be further along than they are. It is a total wreck as you said but at the same time I think they are probably better on paper than IND was going into last season and I think Miami is set to implode. Next Year Knicks are still going to be about next year. They need some rim protection to cover for Love but I think he can go back to putting up MVP numbers if you play him 35 mpg.

If Marcus hadn’t shot 20% on 4.5 threes per game in the playoffs that’d have been super awesome.

Do you guys think they keep Love? Wouldn’t be shocked if Gilbert just wants to dump the salary. He’s kinda earned that after the lux he’s paid last few years.

They should move Love, but is there a large market out there for him?

Idunno who would really want to trade for him. The contenders are all pretty much locked up.

Maybe Kings think he’s the missing piece. Bagley and Fox for Love somehow

Is that allowed? It was my understanding that you had to offer a minimum of 3 years?
