Thanasis couldn’t ask for a better opportunity to earn minutes with PJ Tucker gone.

Just needs to beat out Semi for a defensive hustle player WE DOGS role.

The Bucks did give him some playoff minutes (albeit at the end of quarters). Sure it was a favor to Giannis but if Giannis insisted his mom be on the bench she wouldn’t get clock in games that matter.

Maybe he is only here to be a team mascot and Giannis booster (more legit than KD’s bodyguard being on Brooklyn’s payroll). That said Thanasis probably didn’t have better options with other NBA teams if he really wants to play.

How often does end of the bench guy ever pan out? Not often. Use the roster spot and keep Giannis happy. Also, Thanasis is a good dude and teammate, I'll rock with that. Man is living the average person's dream

Thanasis needs to hit the corner 3 at a reasonable clip to beat out Semi. I don't think he does. He'll probably be a defensive specialist high energy change of pace guy until he can either do that or handle the ball reasonably well enough that it's worth giving it to him. I think either is a stretch, but neither is completely out of reach.

Seems like Thanasty has done a better job of understanding his role (or im just more used to him). You could do worse than a guy who will run through a wall if he thinks it will help the team.

I doubt he had any other NBA options, if he wanted to do G-League I assume they could send him down(?) to the Herd for some PT but I'm sure if is relishing the opportunity of practicing against the world's best. Maybe he gets more time ine euro leagues but doubt he would get as much money and would be at a lower level I assume. Being on a contender with your family is a hell of a ride.

Besides garbage time there will be a lot of meaningful minutes available, especially the first half of the season, as our playoff vets get some well earned reduced minutes.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

So we now have 14 guys locked into roster spots. Sure seems like Diakite & Bryant will fight it out for that last roster spot, or they will only go with 14 guys on the roster. I doubt we sign anyone else to a guarenteed contract and leave us little flexibility to cut someone for the buyout market

Imaging a Chaos Unit of BOBBY, Thanasis, Semi, Grayson The Nutpunching Ted Cruz Doppelganger, and, I dunno, Donte.

Also, what are the odds Giannis addresses Semi in a very poor re-creation of Eddie Murphy's voice as Prince Akeem? This has been keeping me up at night lately.

Semi vs Thanasis should be a pretty fun battle for the backup 4 minutes

Bucks in: PJ Dozier
Portland in: Diakite, Bryant, Monte Morris
Denver in: Derrick Jones, Anfernee Simons

Denver moves Morris contract so they can extend Gordon, Porter Jr, and Campazo.
Portland stays under luxury tax and fills out roster
Bucks get another wing defender and back up ball handler

Bucks then use second 2 way on Isaiah Hartenstein

Holiday / Hill / Dozier
DDV / Allen / Hood
Middleton / Pat / Nwora / Kalaitzakis
Giannis / Ojeleye / Thanasis
Lopez / Portis / Mamu(2-way) / Hartenstein(2-way)
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

Hoping Semi improves in our system. Definitely not a bad thing for him to have competition to earn clock.

That said Portis will probably get all the backup 4 mins he wants so it might be more situational until injuries inevitably arise.

We also ran with Connaughton as a small ball 4 at times. If Allen / Donte eat up all the 2 mins then Middleton might play exclusively 3 which could push more of that too.

Ideally Nwora forces his way onto the court somewhere as well.

What's our luxury tax now with Thanasis contract? We must have by far the 3rd highest right now. GSW and the Nets are in different stratosphere obviously.
