I'm there with ya. But i was thinking with the Detroit pick.

Ya, Detroit #31. I would look at Melvin Ajinca with the OKC/LAC 1st pick.

Ideally later. Right now, could get him at 31 possibly but maybe not by June.

What's the knock on Tyler Smith to me he looks like a lottery pick with his skill set and size

It's going to be tough on the team that gets the #1 pick and the player that gets picked #1. Unfair or not, there are expectations that come with being the top pick and this draft ain't it when it comes to players being worthy of that pick.

It’s a good draft to select 2…assuming the guy you want doesn’t go 1 lol

That's a good draft. Gonzalez is going to be good.

I’ve heard he might end up playing college ball next year so that might be interesting if it happens. I like him a lot

The Raptors should definitely draft players this year with the most upside no matter how raw they are on draft night. That is such a strong top 5 they need a high pick in 2025.

I think I've come around to the same thinking. Cody is going to be a stud. He looks even more dynamic than his brother at the same age.

I would still look to get another 24' pick (if we cant get a 25') and then look to package on draft night to move up and target our guy

I know we suck but its going to be so hard to stay in the top 6. Even then, we can still get out from the lottery and knowing our luck, it will probably happen

Based on his highlights, I think he’s the guy in this draft that fits the bill of being a 25 point scorer. Smooth, long, skilled, and talented. I can see how he’d get his buckets at the NBA level.

Agree with the last couple of posters. I think Cody Williams will end up being quite good. I also like Risacher because he should be a good shooter right away, and as soon as he puts on a bit of muscle I think his defence will be a real strength for him as well.

I'm not quite as high on Sarr as some, but he'd still be a useful player for the Raps.

The next 3 on that mock draft all have significant weaknesses though. Walter is probably the best of the bunch because he has an elite skill - he can really shoot. But his defence will be a major concern.

Ivisic may keep moving up if he keeps showing what he did in his first game with Kentucky, and demonstrates all of the skills that made him a hot prospect in the Adriatic League.

So that would be 4 players near the top (Williams, Risacher, Ivisic, and Sarr) that I think would be good picks for the Raptors. Beyond that I think things drop off a bit. So unless they have a lottery ball picked and move up into the top 4, I'd still rather they convey the pick to the Spurs this year to give more trade flexibility in the future, and balance out their draft picks more over several drafts.

Psubs wrote:Draft Fillipowski. He's like JV/Poeltl/Olynyk with better ball-handling. Hopefully teams see his low-ceiling but ignore his high floor and we can draft him with the OKC/LAC pick in the 20's. I guess try for Salaun with the Pacers pick.

I like him upon closer look, but I also really want a defensive shot blocking big, maybe if we paired him with a shot blocking PF.

He has more offensive upside than the players you mentioned. JV was a P/R finisher coming into the league. Poeltl can't shoot.

Masai already knows
Chomche is a 6-foot-11 big man that has been one of the most unique draft risers we have had in recent memory. The Cameroon native is the youngest prospect in the draft and is absolutely oozing with potential. Chomche really saw his stock skyrocket up at the G League Showcase where he looked super impressive in front of NBA scouts. He showcased his defensive versatility, explosiveness and offensive flashes at this event.

At 6-foot-11, he shoots 38% from behind the arc while also averaging 2.7 blocks per game showcasing he has legit 3-and-D upside. It’s unknown if he has legit interest in entering the 2024 NBA Draft or not, but he has been gaining a ton of steam recently and would likely be drafted in this year’s draft if elects to enter.

Chomche isnt just athletic. He has good footwork and skill. Gotta be on our list

Cameroonian. Masai definitely knows.

He's mocked as high as #14 in one board. Need to take him with the Indiana pick. A 3+D shotblocking C is rare.

He seems like he’d be a solid pick in my opinion as well.

Dadiet looks like a 3+D prospect. Seems slow footed on his drives.

I'd rather go for a player with a harder to find skillset. Ajinca has more offensive versatility imo. Wooga is more athletic.
