There's a 9 part documentary about our championship coming out on Oct 20th...

The wait is almost over. Get ready to relive the magic of last year’s title chase with this first-look trailer at ‘Raising 18,’ the new NBA original series streaming Oct. 20, exclusively on the NBA App.

Narrated by Al Horford, the nine-episode project provides an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the Celtics’ 2023-24 season, starting with the offseason acquisitions of Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday and culminating in the franchise capturing its record-breaking 18th NBA crown.

From preseason training camp all the way to Game 5 of the NBA Finals, experience the Celtics’ historic journey to the NBA mountaintop through the eyes of the players, coaches and team staff who made it happen.

The 2023-24 Celtics campaign was one for the ages. The team’s core of new faces, tenured veterans and proven superstars came together to win 80 combined regular season & playoff games, becoming just the 14th team in league history to do so.

“Every championship has a story,” Horford said. This is one you won’t want to miss.

The Celtics have a 145 offensive rating. That seems totally sustainable.

It's only been one game and a bunch of idiots on the interwebs are already complaining about how the Celtics offense will ruin the future of the NBA. Just **** hilarious. Cope harder.

I predict: 67 wins and banner 19
Joe is COY
JT finishes 2nd in MVP (don't care who wins) and is All NBA 1st team
JB is All NBA 2nd team
Jrue and Derrick make All Defensive 1st or 2nd teams again
Al returns next year to try for the 3 peat

Sounds good to me!

As for Al, I do think he'll come back and play 1 more season in 25-26, on a cheap 1 year contract.

But I kind of doubt he will play another season after that. I mean, he'll turn 39 during this year's playoffs. So he'll turn 40 during the 25-26 playoffs. I figure that's it, he'll retire at age 40, hopefully after winning 3 titles in a row.

At some point, his body won't be able to compete at the same level anymore and he will want to spend more time with his wife and 5 kids.

If all goes well, I could see him having his number retired by the team and getting into the HOF.

I think 42 is already going into the rafters and Al to the HOF. Anything else from this point forward is gravy -- and I think he want LOTS of that gravy!

That said, he's obviously at that point where athletes start thinking on a year-to-year basis, and make a decision each offseason about how he feels, how his family situation is, etc. I'm not going to venture any guesses now beyond my hope that this season is not the end. He's in too excellent of physical shape and too in tune with this team for that to be the case.

Perk trying to get on JT's good side "I love this mad JT with the lil boosie fade". Perk you're a clown and missed the boat last year when everybody was telling you what you're talking about now. No duckboat ride for you in 25'. :noway:

Watch what happens when the Bucks get spanked and realize they have no shot. They'll be sellers at the deadline.

Thinking about how this offseason was truly a best-case scenario, in terms of manufactured personal slight.

Jaylen has his Team USA snub, and perceived persecution by the powers-that-be at Nike. Jayson has his Team USA flop status, and all the idle chatter about how he was bad during the championship run.

Now, instead of basking in their tremendous prior year achievements, both have to buckle down and prove the haterz wrong.

No they'll finish a million games back in the rankings with a net rating closer to the tanking teams than the Celtics but they'll beat Boston on the second night of a back to back on the road in the middle of March with the seeding already decided and pretend that all they were missing to compete was an healthier season from Khris Middleton. Source: it happened last year.

Surprised no one on the General Board has started a thread saying the Celtics have a soft schedule.

If you can’t appreciate what the Celtics are doing, sorry to use the phrase… but you don’t know ball.

I'd love to know who Brad's keeping tabs on in the league and the draft.
